I'm almost sure you're extremely exaggerating him "beating" you. I bet the most he did was take a belt to your ass. You're 14. You don't have a job. Your dad is making the better choice in not letting you spend it until you actually know what money is worth. And since I live in Romania I'll give ya a good reason for why he does this. He knows what he's doing, he doesn't want you to spend the money on useless things you won't use much (a PS2? seriously now). Especially now that the shitty government that is in Romania fucked everyone over (the salaries are lowered by 25%, pensions by 15%, and the money unemployed people get by 15% + other bad things) so he wants to keep as much money as possible cause who knows what the heck those retards will decide next.
And don't whine about getting beaten, my dad is an ex-military officer and he beat me a lot when I was little when I did bad at school or was disrespectful, but thanks to that now I'm not a prick and a disrespectful person.
