Half of people I know smoking weed mentally suffer from it.
Oh please. What? [editline]06:27PM[/editline] Then you say this
Cocaine is good.
:ohdear:
Is there no one on Awesomecaek's side? When there are potheads around, there is almost zero productivity. I completely agree with you, Awesomecaek, about how stoners give bullshit reasons to make themselves feel like less of an addict than they really are. I have never smoked weed myself, and I plan to never do it, EVER, but it's the physical addiction that I get worried about. All you people talk about alcohol and regular smoking being the exact same as weed, but it's completely wrong. People who smoke weed on a daily basis are most likely addicted, but the same does not go for alcoholics. If you have a beer or two a day, you can easily stop doing it, and when you drink one or two beers, your mind's judgement, unless you have a dead-low tolerance, is almost never messed up. If you have a joint or bong hit in a day, however, the person is completely fucked up, and has trouble thinking anything of anything. Smoking is the same. One cigarette a day will hurt you, but definitely won't fuck you up like pot will.
Is there no one on Awesomecaek's side?
Not many, because they're wrong.
When there are potheads around, there is almost zero productivity.
Stupid generalization. There are many people who are stoned around the clock and make more money than you. Stop acting like you know what weed is like when you said yourself that you've never tried it. People who smoke weed certainly don't have trouble thinking, and most don't have trouble stopping even after daily use. Alcohol is worse for you, as well.
Smoking is the same. Their very nature provokes a reliance on them; they change your chemical makeup. Without them, you go through withdrawal. Weed is not chemically addictive. You might get addicted to getting high in the same way people can get addicted to wanking, but it's not chemically addictive.
Really now? Alcohol doesn't cause shit other then you being honest ,and being open with your emotions. You ever hear the Roman quote, "In wine there's truth." ? It's exactly what it says. Any man or women who drinks can tell you that your unable to keep yourself from saying stuff. Why? Cause the ingredients used to make liquor cause a state where your mind is so relaxed ,and calm that everything you think becomes an action. As for weed... I can't really say much. Why? I know a mixed variety of people who I can't step both ways to say one word against or with. What I do know... Is that weed is just a bad drug ,and I would prefer at-least a productive drug like cocaine being legalized.
Alcohol makes you honest and calm? Cocaine is a productive drug?! Lol, dude what the fuck are you smoking? Well, crack, obviously, but you couldn't be any more inaccurate. First of all, I hardly ever see "calm" drunks, but I see a shitload of abnoxiously belligerent and aggressive ones. My own good friends turn asshole on me when they get really drunk and get all over my shit about stupid things. As far as I've seen, alcohol brings out the worst in a LOT of people. Not everyone, but a lot of people. And as for cocaine... dude, what the fuck? I myself have not done cocaine, but I have trouble believing that it makes anyone productive at all. And furthermore, it's just fucking bad for you. And weed? Dude, weed is fine. It's hardly physically harmful, it's calming, relaxing (much more so than fucking alcohol), and personally I feel like it makes ME productive. I mean, everyone gets a different high, but when I'm stoned I just wanna make shit all the time. I really don't know how you get your opinions about this kind of shit, though, the part about cocaine is just puzzling. Really now? Cocaine? Weed is a bad drug but cocaine isn't? Man weed is such a mellow drug compared to cocaine. And for the record I've never seen any of my friends who are high get angry at anything (including the ones that turn into drunken assholes). [editline]11:55AM[/editline]
Potheads always defend smoking weed, so they don't look stupid for being practically addicted to it. I have a classmate. Whole last year, we were sitting together in few objects, and I know him kinda well. He was kinda clever guy. He learned what he needed, he always got things as one of the first, he was fast and precise. This year, as he on his own cheerfully admits, started smoking pot in regular basis. I can barely recognize him after a half a year. Even though I am sure he actually smokes only on weekends, even during the week, he acts like total retard. He is slow. Talks much slower than he ever did. Sometimes also can't remember basic words, and stops frequently during speech. He can barely do basic mathematical operations, and even when he does, it takes painfully long. He forgets a lot. For example in "Industrial Design" class, where we learn 3DSMAX, he barely remembers how he did things he could do 14 days earlier without problem. I had to go through whole last lesson with him to make him able to catch up at least a bit with current objectives. Before, he had cheerful active personality. Now, he is mostly calm, playing games on cell phone, or just lying on desk. It's really sad to watch. I can really see that guy's mind going down the shitter. I don't have really big experience with people smoking weed regularly, but like 3 of 6 I know changed in pretty much the same way.
Okay, you made all that up, or your friend was just stupid to begin with. Or he's doing other things you don't know about. Man, are so many kids on FP completely inept about drugs?
Man, are so many kids on FP completely inept about drugs?
Thanks to their soccer moms.
weed fucks you up period. don't listen to that crap people tell you. it can give you psychosis and/or schizophrenia. [editline]02:58PM[/editline] also it IS addictive. unlike other PHYSICALLY addicting substances, weed addicts you mentally.
weed fucks you up period. don't listen to that crap people tell you. it can give you psychosis and/or schizophrenia. [editline]02:58PM[/editline] also it IS addictive. unlike other PHYSICALLY addicting substances, weed addicts you mentally.
*sigh* Mental addiction is just a word, and it means the same thing as simply "wanting" to do something. For example, you're probably "mentally" addicted to your own favorite food. I WANT to smoke weed because I LIKE it. That's what mental addiction is. It doesn't mean I get a craving and go into withdrawel when I don't have it. I can go without weed, I'd just rather be high because it makes me feel good and (personally) it makes me feel more creative. Does that mean it's BAD? No. Weed DOESN'T "fuck you up period", it fucks you up if you have pre-existing mental conditions. That's it. Otherwise weed is pretty much completely harmless, so stop making shit up. And stop listening to your mom.
weed fucks you up period. don't listen to that crap people tell you. it can give you psychosis and/or schizophrenia.
Yeah man. Smoke it 1nce and ur DED *Ive never smoked but its that way i just no it is... its gotta be*
also it IS addictive. unlike other PHYSICALLY addicting substances, weed addicts you mentally.
Like coffee, candy and television. Holy shit. Top 3 killers.
Weed is weed, not such a big deal.
it can give you psychosis and/or schizophrenia.
No, it only brings it out in people that had them to begin with. Fuck, is the DD the only smart people left on the fucking internet?
All you anti-pot protestors should switch to alcohol, a bigger killer than weed due to automobile accidents BY FAR. But you won't because Alcohol is "culturally accepted". A drug that is potentially more addicting and life altering than weed. If you want a drug to fight, stop being such a hypocrite and fight alcohol.

Kool Story Bro.
Is this anti-weed, or anti-doughnuts?
Anti-Penicillin
i smoked the marihuana and my brain fried
drugs are bad, you shouldn't do drugs, because its bad. drugs bad.
drugs are bad, you shouldn't do drugs, because its bad. drugs bad.
cool story bro
Weed owns. If you get 'psychosis' from it you're a pussy.
I know right. But give a man high doses of amphetamines, and he'll fucking lose it boi.
...but I don't really believe in disorders that are mainly predominant in western civilization but not the entire world
Flawed logic right there. Just because you don't hear about the rest of the world having these problems does not mean they don't. The western world has the best medicine. In other words, we are the best at diagnosing and treating disease, so of course we will find more problems with people and then document the cases. Nations who don't have good diagnostic methods tend to be the second and third world countries where the media are censored, or just lack of coverage and no one really knows what the fuck is going on there.
You consider 2 bowls a lot? Also, blaming weed is a fallacy, you over reacted, learn to chill out man, smoke more.
You don't know the size of his bowl. Why do people always try to act superior when it comes to stuff like this...
But from what I've seen here, pot smokers are pretentious douchebags who lash out against anyone with an opinion against it. :colbert:
From what I've seen here, people who have an opinion against it are horribly biased and have no actual experience with the drug. Being "against" it is just sheer bigotry anyway, because you're trying to tell someone else what they can and can't do most likely based on what your mommy tells you about drugs. If you don't know anything about marijuana, don't speak out against it. Stoners have every right and every reason to defend the drug.
i love weed

They're diagnosed based on how they act, but I don't necessarily agree that how people act can be categorized into things like "ADD" because there's too much to be accounted for. "Oh, this person has a hard time concentrating, let's prescribe them some ritalin." It never crosses the psychiatrist's mind that everyone is different and that many different factors cause slightly similar ways of acting out that aren't necessarily the same.
:frown:
As soon as I got to that part of the story I INSTANTLY felt awful. I know some people who have it, and I can say it's pretty fucking terrible. To the OP,i'm glad you still support legalization, Marijuana is NOT a dangerous drug, but it has it's limits. I smoke weed everyday, and I can say it has actually had an impact on my life. I was told by my doctor at the age of 8 that I had some "severe anger issues", marijuana has kept me out of trouble more times than I can count. Hell, it's got me OUT of trouble more times than IN trouble.

You guys sound so wound up. Chill out and have some grass, man.
I can see you smoked the potty.
Don't blame it on the marijuana, You ate a fucking moldy doughnut.
