Let's.
Don't blame it on the marijuana, You ate a fucking moldy doughnut.
To be honest, I would freak out badly if I ate moldy food aswell. Just thinking about it... Ehh.
I'd probably laugh about it when high, though.
But a lot of mental conditions are diagnosed without any physical evidence of an illness. They're diagnosed based on how they act, but I don't necessarily agree that how people act can be categorized into things like "ADD" because there's too much to be accounted for.
"Oh, this person has a hard time concentrating, let's prescribe them some ritalin."
It never crosses the psychiatrist's mind that everyone is different and that many different factors cause slightly similar ways of acting out that aren't necessarily the same.
Well, you can either give them a brain scan, at every hospital in the U.S. to diagnose ADHD, which is a huge investment and tons of money to do, or just have a person ask them questions from a stupid little sheet, and prescribe them some drugs. Which one do you think a capitalist will do?
A brain scan. Aha. Brainscans are not 100% accurate.
A brain scan. Aha.
Don't laugh.

Way more accurate than a little question sheet.

Yes I know them I was in one of those before.
I want to get scanned, I think my brain would look fucked up.
Wait what, amen clinics? This website looks like it belongs to some cult or something.

So I met this dude this one time, a week later I found out he smoked weed. The day after that I realized he was a dumbass. IT MUST HAVE BEEN FROM SMOKING WEED GUYS.

To be honest, if he's dumb enough to tell people, he's dumb enough to let it control his life.
I smoke occasionally and I have many friends who smoke it to varying amounts a week. Marijuana is less detrimental to your health than cigarettes. (note that i said cigarettes. It's still contended whether or not tobacco, prepared just like weed is these days, is more harmful than mary jane. Tobacco companies do much more "manufacturing" to cigarettes than necessary which causes much more negative effects.)
Yes its possible after smoking weed many times a week, in high amounts, will cause you to "burn out." Basically this is a long term weed hangover. To cure, all you have to do is stop smoking for a day or two and you're fine.
Most of you are arguing on the negative effects of weed. There are also positive ones. I find that smoking after having a troubling day or just feeling bad, helps me calm down a lot. It really helps you sort out and deal with things sometimes.
Also many of you are arguing that alcohol is less destructive than weed because it is "controlled." If legalized, marijuana will be under government control and held up to its standards. It will wipe out many criminal groups and cartels who make heavy profit from smuggling and distributing weed and who resort to violence. It will make it much easier for the average smoker to obtain marijuana thereby making it much safer for everyone involved because they wont have to obtain it from shady persons and criminals.
I dont see any problem.
Weed is truly a brilliant drug. I gave up every other substance for it. Alcohol doesn't really taste that well and the high is kinda bad. Tobacco is flat out pointless although I do enjoy a good cigar every 3 months but weekend weed is the best. Something to look forward to on those terrible monday mornings will the be the saturday evening weed sesh and guess what day today is.
Plus I don't smoke weed just for the recreational effect, I smoke it to experience these insanely amazing trips right into my subconscious so it's more like a weekly adventure than a relaxing evening of doing nothing.
[sp]It was a joke.[/sp]
I realized that, It's just all these kids on here go "SOMEONE IN MY CLASS SMOKES AND HE IS STUPID THEREFORE WEED IS BAD" and really, that kid would be stupid whether he smoked or not. Those kids would be amazed at how many people smoke.
i'd say you and drive the hive are pretty raged over some words on the internet
oh yea im about to rip out your intestines and strangle you with them
seriously no i'm making fun of you two
The only stupid people that smoke weed are the people who are like "Yeah, I smoked weed yesterday, and I bet you thrive off of my coolness" etc.

Agreed. Tons of people smoke weed and you would never know. I dont walk around telling everyone. Usually those who do are the ones that give smoking a bad name
i'd say you and drive the hive are pretty raged over some words on the internet
Because we get to see the same terribly uninformed ignorants with the same stupid arguments everyday.
How would you feel?
Marijuana is for people who cant afford cocaine.:hf::smug:
What if people don't want to get that serious!
What if people don't want to get that serious!
What if people are kidding...
weed fucks you up period. don't listen to that crap people tell you. it can give you psychosis and/or schizophrenia..
The rate of schizophrenia has fallen since the 1960's, when weed smoking increased rapidly. In contrast, if you look at something like smoking, which had big increases during the 1940's, you can then see huge increases in smoking related diseases. So no, there is no evidence that weed causes schizophrenia, or psychosis.
also it IS addictive. unlike other PHYSICALLY addicting substances, weed addicts you mentally.
If it isn't a physical addiction, it is no more likely to get addicted to than say, a packet of crisps.
I have that type of problem where you said you had the idea of jumping out your window, it's like I have the thought of doing something, or I'll think about something before I go to sleep, or am about to fall asleep, and I'll wake up noticing I did it.
kinda' weird. :v:

anyone who doesn't smoke weed is an uninformed ignorant
...They're diagnosed based on how they act...
Yes. The reason being is that the problem lays within the thinking patters of the individual. They manifest through the actions of the individual. If they deviate from the norm, then they are considered to have mental problems.
For example, someone who uncontrollably steals is considered a kleptomaniac. Someone who talks about how they ride their unicorn to work everyday would be considered delirious, possibly schizophrenic, among other things. Mental health problems are diagnosed by what the person says and/or how they act.
Go take a look at the DSM-IV, or "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders." This is how mental issues are diagnosed.
The other side is not every mental illness creates different brain patters that are visible under MRI or EEG (at least none that we are aware). This leaves the only way to diagnose a mental health issue through talking to the patient and seeing how they react.

correlation is not causation
there have been more washing machines purchased since the 1900s, and far less plane crashes. WASHING MACHINES ARE STOPPING PLANES FROM CRASHING HURR

you're not proving anything because if weed really did cause skitzo we would have had a sharp rise in its cases, as weed popularity rose. this is logic buddy
in fact 'correlation does not equal causation' has very little to do with this at all.
drugs r bad
I have gotten paranoid psychosis myself, but from nicotine. It's a documented side effect.
I have all the same problems as the op yet I smoke almost daily.
