what is the stereotype there exactly? there is certainly no racial connotation
Why would a stereotype need to have a race attached to it?
glad to see FP supports stereotyping that's nice

Saying a stereotype exists doesn't mean someone's supporting it, lmao.
And he didnt stirr the tea!
On this one I can't say anything, I know fuck all about Chinese traditions, it may as well be extremely rude and dismissive of him not to stir her tea.
I expected a clapping, but the thumb up was comforting enough.
If that was me, I wod've gone heavy on words. But he's the real gentleman it seems.

Nup, girl's a total bitch.
She's like the stereotypical nagging Chinese mum, except without the childbirth/menopause (I assume).

It's a shining example of man becoming fed up with rampant misandry, taking red pill and becoming empowered.
How can you not see this
because there is a stereotype of it, that means it is an actual real common occurrence? huh?
do you even understand what a stereotype is
for a stereotype to even exist it must be an "actual real common occurrence"
Ever since her, I've been having major trust issues with everyone I know and have met, and I can't control it because it's on a subconscious level.
My ex has made me paranoid as fuck, I feel like I cause problems for people and they won't tell me until I can't fix it.
On this one I can't say anything, I know fuck all about Chinese traditions, it may as well be extremely rude and dismissive of him not to stir her tea.
To not stir someones tea is to challenge them to a duel of dominance.
To not stir someones tea is to challenge them to a duel of dominance.
It must be. And he lost the duel immediately.
hey guys, my parents are from HK and we still watch a lot of HK tv shows and stuff. Yeah the culture is so different but this is terrible. I wish we got to see the girl's reaction at the end! And I really really hope he doesn't come begging for forgiveness later on because he is so submissive to her that he might :-(
Nobody anywhere, any gender, deserves to be berated in that way!
because there is a stereotype of it, that means it is an actual real common occurrence? huh?
How do you think stereotypes are created?
On this one I can't say anything, I know fuck all about Chinese traditions, it may as well be extremely rude and dismissive of him not to stir her tea.
I grew up in Hong Kong and I can confirm that it's not, she's just a bitch
I grew up in Hong Kong and I can confirm that it's not, she's just a bitch
Then I have a hard time imagining an actual living person expecting her boyfriend to stir her tea. And then get mad when he doesn't.
Is there no bottom in bitch-ness?

as soon as i saw the dude give the thumbs up i thought of this gif and was gonna try and find it to post it
aw well :v:
I was actually hoping he was going to splash the tea on her face after he stirred it. That would have been so good with what he said on top of it.

People are saying that, but I swear, if he did splash tea on her head, facepunch would be going "wow he went too far not mature!!!" or some shit.

Are you really supporting this bitch?
Saying a stereotype exists doesn't mean someone's supporting it, lmao.
when you confirm its existence (as if anyone on here would have any experience with this stereotype to begin with) you are supporting it. there's a difference between saying "some people believe in this stereotype" and saying "I believe this stereotype is accurate"

Uh, you realize you're just here stirring shit up with pretty much no argument, right?
vedicardi is really good at provoking people without actually adding any intelligent forethought into his posts so it's actually better to just add him to your ignore list or something. i wouldn't say this except for the fact that i've seen it in at least 5 or 6 threads now so it's kind of a recurring theme
because it doesnt happen, none of you have experience with this. the harm in stereotyping comes from taking once observed negative behavior and using that as a base assumption regarding all people of that... background, or gender, what have you. it's breeding ignorance without any factual basis, just anecdotal evidence, if any evidence at all. "if it happens, it happens!" they would say, but does it really? do you KNOW that or are you just guessing? are you using a single youtube video as evidence to back this claim? its ignorant and nothing more. if you do see it often, the only reason why is it is the only thing you WANT to see. if someone posted "hong kong girl is nice to his boyfriend" would you watch the video, would you care, would someone post that? there's a reason you never see the other side, and it is only your own choice to be ignorant to the reality that youtube videos are not a proper sampling of the population of X that you believe these things to be true
