He's a good actor who stars in shit films. If anyone has seen Drive Angry, they'll know what I mean when I say he makes bad movies enjoyable.
He's only been good in two movies
1)Kick Ass
2)National Treasure

He was great in Lord Of War.
Give him a role as a mental patient and instant gold.
Nicholas Cage is the king of losing his shit.

the amount of times people have posted that video.. it's not even funny.
Lord of war, face/off and kickass rank among my top movies, I really hope he gets roles for better films in the future. Some of the films he's in that are upcoming in 2012/13 sound decent but we'll have to wait and see.
Vampire's kiss is his best work yet.
He can act, no question about it
He however needs to choose better scripts
Lord of War was great
Can't talk about Cage and not post this

Let down entirely by the rubbish films he agree's to be in.
Although it has a ludacris plot, Con Air is fantastic.
Gone in 60 seconds, The Rock, Face/Off are all highly entertaining films. (Especially the rock)

I loved Con Air.
Though that may be accredited to just the amazing cast: Nicolas Cage, Steve Buscemi, and John Malkovich, all in one film?
No matter how shitty the rest of the film is, you can never go wrong with some Cage Rage.
his 80s era contained some really nice stuff.
watch Birdy.
He's a great actor in great movies and a shit actor in shit movies.
[editline]e[/editline]
Well, not 'shit actor' but he can seem extremely forced when the writing is absurd.
I'm a vampire, I'm a vampire!
My guess is he does things for the fun of it.
He knows all his terrible movies are terrible. But you have to admit that all his bad ones would probably be fun to make. He probably though, I punch people in a bear suit? I get covered in bees? That's going to be awesome no matter how shitty this movie is.
He does good movies and puts in a good performance, but he'll say yes to a shit movie if it sounds like a blast and he can just do whatever.
I fucking love Nicolas Cage. I don't know why but he's easily one of my favourite actors.
I especially love Cage in Deadfall. I have never seen the movie, I don't need to.
FUUUUUUCCCKKKKK!
He was great in Lord Of War.
I think the film was good but also that he didn't fill that role well.
But Con Air is hilarious and he was perfect for it.
He usually puts allot of work into his roles, even if their stupid.

I don't think he's ever complained about them either and actually enjoys most of them.
Now on the other hand, you've got people like David Cross who do a shitty movie about Chipmunks for some easy cash and then bitch about it afterwards even though he full well knew what he was doing.
