I was born in '96, I remember all the old cartoons, and I remember technology starting to become a part of everyone's lives. I never played the classic games, but my dad made sure I listened to all the old music and watched all the awesome 70s, 80s and 90s films.

Everything is so easy today. I remember i had to call my friends houses to check if they were home. "Hey Mike's mom, is Mike home?" Today we have shit like facebook, mobile phones and other shit. Back in the days we could just say "Mom if anyone calls im not home" It was so much simple... And if you ask me, better. Gossip spreading around and talking to people alot more. Today all that is done with facebook. example: 90's: Hey how it's going i havent heard from you in a long time... Oh i got a girlfriend now. Who's that? Oh its bla bla from down the street. and sooo on... today: I saw on facebook that you are together with bla bla.. yeah.. It's so much nicer to actualy talk to a person, you have the ability to "surprise" people in a way. God damn i miss the 90's!
;31547376']
This was the single greatest thing about my childhood. Not because my childhood wasn't good, but simply because the car carpet city was absolutely legendary.

I didn't had a carpet city... But my parents made me a model city on 2m by 2.5m cardboard sheet. Too bad I destroyed half of it because I was 5. Had car crashes every damn time.
Born in '95; earliest memory probably about early '97. Also, it's fun to approach 10 year olds with a video tape and watch them squirm with confusion when you ask them what it is.
Beyblades are the shit, I remember elementary school, during snacktime some kids would play beyblades until they were banned because one kid got hit in the eye or something. I remember being upset to the point of tears
I was born in the mid 90's, but I had a Mega Drive, a Super Nintendo, I always dreamed of getting a N64 but I had to play SSB and Mario Kart on an emulator. Darkwing Duck, Catdog and Pinky and the Brain were my favorite cartoons. I still have some stickers of the first Pokemon generation, that had all the 151. Even though I was born a little 'late', I still consider myself a 90's kid.

My little brother is 10, he knows full well what a video cassette is. I suppose it's because he has me and my sister older than him and we both grew up amassing a sizable collection of BBC Home Video children's TV in the days before 24/7 kids channels.
This thread makes me so sad about growing up. I'm 18 in around 2 weeks, I'm going to be a fucking adult, where did my childhood go?! I wish I could go back to those days where nothing mattered and life was amazing.
Favorite N64 game as a kid, I cannot remember much of the 2nd one though.
Ahh, the 90's were good times. I remember my favorite movie was the the Lion King, used to watch all the time. I also remember having a MK Trilogy Jade action figure from '96: My first one's leg broke off, but then my parents bought me a new one which I still have today in good condition in my room. Don't know why I wanted it though, had no clue what Mortal Kombat was then, or at least had little knowledge of it. But then again I had some obsession with collecting various female action figures.
Fucking Furbies man I still have nightmares.

This is more '80s, but it was around in the '90s as well so I think I can squeeze it in I found my Tandy 1000 the other day. There's save games on it from 1995 Fuckin Police Quest
THE HORROR ...ok I actually liked that song

Dat book I used to get scared on this game when dinosaur noises started playing... too bad they don't make edutainment games like this anymore There's also another game, it was for the Megadrive and it featured Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. It had an Alice in Wonderland themed level, and a level in which you fought a witch boss on top of jelly platforms that you kept sinking through. I can't remember the name of it though, but it was awesome
