I remember my mother buying plenty of Kool-aid because we would collect those little cutouts on the back of the packets that you send in for prizes. We were saving those for the Gameboy but then in 1998 when we finally had enough, the Gameboy Color came and it costed more of those cutouts. At that point we just said fuck it and bought the damn thing.
Anyone else played Zoombinis?

Probably the only videogame I ever played at school. Liked it so much I ended up asking for it for my birthday the same year!
You are so right, the 90s where such a great decade.
When i think of the 90s I think of playing Playstation 1 and N64 for hours with my friends, some of the best games were:

And the music was just awesome. So much crap but hey it was really fun for kids. Anyone remembers this?
Also bands like Third Eye blind, NOFX, Mighty Mighty Bosstones were very cool and i totally miss old school Blink-182 and all that stuff. This record was totally 90s for me, even it is actually late-90s.

And all that nice cartoons, I mean Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and Dinosaurs were just awesome as f*ck. Oh and i really miss this guy:

The movies were also so good, not that "oh there has to be a lot of moral and we need to make the kids like our movie" kind of movies, it was just fun. Do you remember the first time watching this?

And movies like Jurassic Park or Godzilla were certainly good too. And all the Disney stuff, too much I think but my favorites were The Lion King or the '99 Tarzan movie.
Oh and dont forget the teen movies like:

Last but not least, Pokemon totally ruled the 90s, I remember playing it for hours after buying it from my own pocket money like it was yesterday.

A lot of stuff I think and there is so much more I like about the 90s, its like I had a 90s orgasm.
I could talk for hours about the 90s, but I think thats it so far.
You know what I remember? Going on vacation to Prince Edward Island with my family back in 1997.
I was four.

My PSX had a modchip and we always rented games and copied them back then. I had SHITLOADS of games because of that. Nowadays I buy games because the developers must be rewarded somehow :)

I've always loved ZOOM.
Not sure if late
I grew up with zoom. I think the original cast was them best.
err, on second thought, zoom has existed before I was born. but that cast was the best imo
This thread just made me nostalgia hard. Those were the times.
I, like a lot of people here, was born in 1993 so I can't really remember much about the 90s
I was born in 1993 and this thread made me nostalgia too god damn hard, our whole childhood was pretty much "the 90's".
I too am a 93er. I remember 97% of this thread, and what I dont remember wasnt because I was too young, I just didnt watch it or have it or whatever. I'd hate not to remember the 90's.

yuck too much 90's revisionism
i was born during a time where everything was terrible. you 90's kids are shitty optimists. 80's kid cynicism will reign supreme.

The ads for that game so thoroughly scared the shit out of me as a child that I was afraid of using the toilet for years.
(Because the ad involved being sucked down the toilet or something)

Sure i owned one in Blue until i got my yellow Game Boy Colour, this thing was awesome.
I own essentially every video game console to date (not counting actual arcade machines of course!); all of which are either under the bed, in the cupboard or in the other house. I'd have to say however my favorite game of all time was arguably Bubsy for the SNES. In some sort of weird way - I found it so enjoyable to just sit and play despite how unfair it was at times.

to this day i have absolutely no idea how to properly beat the minigame where you see a bunch of those triangular faced guys (some have wheels for legs, some have rockets attached to them, etc) and you gotta get past them somehow. i just selected random zoombinis and got past it..
I feel ashamed to have been born in '98, but I do remember my favorite game on the N64 before I was old enough to actually solve the puzzles in OoT

Fuck yes Art Attack.
I find it really odd so many people remember nothing about their childhood but their toys, shows, and movies. Why do consumerist things like that make up people's nostalgia as opposed to actual experiences or remembered qualities. If I miss anything from my childhood it's the lack of responsibility and innocence, not Mr. Cooper. I also think it's weird that people think toys and shows are an essential part of their childhood, and if you didn't watch guts or own a pet rock or whatever you had no childhood.
Nostalgia is weird.

I think it's more that things like TV and Toys were something we can all relate to. Not everyone can relate when one of us talks about a cherished childhood memory on holiday, or trying some new food for the first time because those memories are personal and special to each and everyone one of us.
However, stuff like Cartoon Network, Pokemon and Hot Wheels were something we all experienced.
