Does anybody here model with a tablet? My Graphire 4 (cheapie, I know) arrived last night, and I was wondering if it's a decent modelling tool.
It should come in handy if you're sculpting stuff in programs like Mudbox/zbrush,
not sure how it would be used in 3ds Max etc. though.
I usually model with my Wacom Intuos3 A4, but for 3D Max I don't really care whether I use the pen or a mouse, but in Photoshop, Zbrush and others, I really prefer the tablet.
I hope people find good use of the HDRi's.
By the way, I made use of Real Flow today:

Oh god.
Guess I'm done with the high-poly for this now.

Make it flow through an animated mesh that would be
Unless you can't do that then I'll go :C
I wouldn't know I've used Real Flow maybe twice, couldn't figure it out, and ragequit. That was a couple years ago. I should give it another go.

Between the eyes looks weird and jagged. Also, asymmetry is cool but it seems a tad overused around the snout and eyes.
Those jagged things are scars, they look better from another angle.

In 3ds Max (7);
Let's say I've selected a edge loop and want to remove the edges AND the vertices. How should I do this? I've tried ctrl+backspace but that didn't work.

oh, and nice car
I'm going to start modeling with blender and render with 3dsmax, sound good? I used to do good with blender.

How easy is maya to 3dsmax?

Do you need to be concerned with topology and loops and whatnot with Zbrush or does it clean the mesh up for you?

You've come in here, asked 'how do I xxx' again and again without looking at tutorials or (from the sounds of it) even trying to look for the answers yourself and you bust out the shitposts? Please, spend at least a couple of hours looking through 3ds Max and figuring stuff out for yourself before coming here and giving other people grief for their ideas. On a more personal note; your grammar is shocking.
Modelling in Blender and rendering/simulating/arranging in Max sounds fine to me. I'm thinking of taking that path mainly for the reason that I can model much faster and more efficiently in Blender than in Maya (although 'Select Edge Loops' is a godsend in Maya).
[editline]04:20PM[/editline]
As long as you know basic modelling theory, there shouldn't be a problem.

I was under the impression that you could select edge loops by ALT+Right Clicking an edge in edit mode (in Blender). Unless you mean that the Maya one is better.

I had no idea! That's Blender's single biggest let down; no definitive library of every hotkey combination and their uses. Thankfully Blender's documentation is going through a huge revision recently.

Why so butthurt. Fine, I won't ask here anymore. I just thought that asking community was kinda better than digging through google, but whatever. My grammar sure is bad, this is my third language, and no one here knows or speaks english at all, so I can't learn a lot more.

Well I don't think maloof was mad at the guy for asking for help, but rather that he just shitted on someone's idea without any knowledge of what he was talking about.
Hey guys I'm supposed to be building some shit for our SL island what should I make :v:
I'm going to be making shiloads of sculpts. What should I make though? Chairs, business stuff, etc.
How easy is maya to 3dsmax?
pretty easy.
Create models in Maya then port to Max for material and render.

Can't do shit for material or textures.
