By "It isn't mapped" you mean what?
I mean if I quit uvw editor and apply a texture, it is all wrong, but when I am in uv edit mode, checkers show the right way.
I've never had this problem before. Sorry.
I guess I am doing something wrong then. That tut starts from middle and leaves me uninformed...

Oh it actually works right, texture was fucked in viewport display, rendered it looks fine.

When my dad saw that picture, he asked me: "Has he taken his tires out so he can take a photo of them?".
Your dad has really bad eyesight.
Got a new computer. Messed around to see how the render times are on it, and ended up putting a bit more on my now old Les Paul model.

Textures are half-assed, just two photos thrown on. Look pretty good considering the lack of effort. Still missing the tuners on the back and the parts where strap connects to. Rendered in Lux Render, left it going for 50 minutes so there is still some noise.
Edit: Updated image, 2 hours into the rendered rather than the previous 50 minutes.

Why do people give me dumb ratings on this?
He asked for CC and I gave him CC.

Go learn what CC is.

Those tutorials are really good. Taught me a lot of techniques. :keke: Thanks.
Aaah, I wish I knew how to model stuff :3
I've recently started doing a pre-view of a Computer Glass Case Mod for someone. He wanted the pre-view because he was going to do it in real-life as a Case Mod.

It's simple, nothing too hard to do.
Can you run the rendering on your Nvidia graphics card with CUDA yet?
Jeez why isn't nVidia mod of CC yet, he helps alot :)
I'm reinstalling 3ds max, and I hope to start modeling again.

It doesn't look like the neck is at an angle like it normally is, is it? Because the LP bridge is so high, the neck actually tilts back a few degrees so that the strings are level with the fingerboard all the way and not higher near the body.
Like so:
Not that radical, of course, but you get the idea.
Something like
Oh and the headstock front should be gloss black instead of that maple thing unless it's a custom. But apart from those it's looking really nice. :P
Oh, Les Paul is my favorite guitar! Just take PLing's advice and make it a good scene and it will be gold!
[editline]11:05AM[/editline]
Also the area around the pickup switch should be smaller, or the pickup switch isself larger, I can't tell which.
I'm an awful modeller, but somehow I came up with this. I'm not sure how, but I did.

Top of it looks strange. Something unfinished.

Needs a scene, even a box would do for that model.
The glass looks weird though.
I don't even know what that is...But I like it.

It actually is already tilted, it doesn't really show in the render though. I think the angle is about right. The distance between the strings and the fretboard was quite off though, I adjusted the nut and bridge and it's mostly correct now from what I can see.

I originally had a very dark glossy brown for the fretboard, but it looked terrible so I put an ebony texture onto it. I'll try darkening it a little and adding a bit of glossiness.

I can't really tell what it is but it looks interesting. Like a lamp of some sort.

I reworked the back a bit, I'm a lot more happy with it now and some other minor changes.
Still needs few fixes.
Your dad has really bad eyesight.
I agree with this post.
Anybody have a good rust tutorial (for some reason I do all my texturing by hand instead of using photos. Probably a dumb idea)
It actually is already tilted, it doesn't really show in the render though.
Nevermind then, carry on. :P
I wish my computer could handle something besides the internet :frown: This looks like something I could get into.

Is it THAT bad? Even my old pc could handle max with not much polies.
What should I model? Beginner wise, I'm starting on this thing. :P

A table :D
Also: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=765951 first rendering. :P

Could be using a shit laptop or netbook.

Miniature shit table, I couldn't find a reference/blueprint so I made one out of my imagination like an 8 year old boy would, that's just boxes, it sucks.
A table like this or something.
