Why don't the boards line up at the joint on the ceiling, that doesn't look like design choice but more like UV error and a bad cypress texture.
Also, just messing with the renderings again, this is without a spec or a bump map, simply just the bitmap texture.

and he wanted it to be staggered, said something about the fact that the boards wouldn't line up 100% anyways because the planks he gets are all "hand crafted" (meaning cut by cheap laborers), so he offsets them so they look about 50-50 edge to edge. Probably would have looked better had I maybe split the boards so there was a more defined seam there instead of letting the texture run on.

What he sent us looked like burnt oak with bird droppings everywhere, which is apparently "fancy" in the eyes of the kind of people who spend 750k on a house that's more or less an apartment with vaulted ceilings and a view out the windows.

I think you have too choose the physics engine in the reactor toolbar and then click simulate, but I am not sure.

I have a mechanical question. I have a setup where these gears are all connected. I want one gear to be turned every half time. How would I make it to where gears will turn this specific gear at half the speed they are turning at? I was thinking of something where a gear moves up and down with a piston like motion and turns it every time it moves down, but I don't know how to go about that. I had an idea but it doesn't. Does anyone know much about different types of gears and how I could create something that goes up [b]and[/b] down?
