How many months to render?
On my computer it would've took 7 years and 8 days. And 17 seconds.
Well I have an i7 OC'd to 3.8 gh/z with 6gb DDR3 RAM and stuff... so it only took about 2.5 hours. And don't say I am spoiled with my computer or anything, I'll have you know I worked my ass off to get $2500 and buy it for myself.
Arm rig, was bored. Click image for a video.
Looks like a prosthetic limb.
Yeah I didn't really know how to model a hand so I just made an upper arm and bottom arm.
Could be blender, seeing from the background.
I thought you were gone >:C
I thought you were gone >:C
I thought I won't listen to some dude on the internet. My monitor broke down and I couldn't access anything
Just got my new PC so I can render stuff in 10 seconds that took over a minute before. :)
This is what happens if this part is a quarter of an inch out of spec :v: Sorry for the crappy .gif quality
I'm starting to get the hang of Blender, I made this for learning purposes: C&C appreciated. [editline]07:34PM[/editline] If you're gonna rate me negative, explain why please [editline]08:24PM[/editline] Oh come on, even Edja007 says what is wrong. You're not more of an ass than Edja, right?
Edja is an idiot who only says bad stuff about peoples stuff. Good night folks.
Edja is an idiot who only says bad stuff about peoples stuff.
I remember he said something positive about one of my pieces...
I remember he said something positive about one of my pieces...
Did I? How could that happen?
Add some bumpmaps. Get yafraf or some renderer. I am not sure, but I think default one in blender isn't great. And why is there no ceiling?
1. Where do I add bumpmaps? 2. Blender uses mental ray 3. Because I haven't made the ceiling yet
Blender uses Blender Internal as the default renderer. You can do almost everything that Mental Ray can do (you've got to use an HDR for caustics) in Internal if you know what you're doing.
I press Render, and it turns out OK. I'll switch renderer when I start noticing that it's bad.
Did I? How could that happen?
No idea. I just remember something like that, though it's unlikely to happen.
it is indeed Autodesk Inventor 2009 :)
Why does Autodesk have so many damn programs?
Why does Autodesk have so many damn programs?
Money Milking.
Money Milking.
Except they actually make very good programs. I've got the same processor and ram.
I have multiple textures such as rusty, and different colors too. :3:
Is the container meant to look wet?
Is the container meant to look wet?
No, glossiness fucked up.

Uh, anyone got some tutorials so I can start modelling in blender? Currently the only thing I can do is subsurf a cube and extrude faces. Oh and
I have multiple textures such as rusty, and different colors too. :3:
*drools*
What program is that?
Autodesk Inventor
Except they actually make very good programs.
No, they buy all the very good programs and blow their fucking money on acquiring more names instead of properly upgrading their products. Discreet made Max; Alias|Wavefront made Maya. Autodesk throws out meaningless updates to their programs to make a quick buck. That's why a good part of their programs are bug-ridden messes.
