I like your renders, with the contrasting colors and the info bar

But I have no idea how to UV map yet, I've only just grasped basic modelling :[

Then learn uv-ing too
I shall :]
I find that rendering something in Vray involves a good deal of experimentation with materials.
Noticed as well.
I would be ashamed.

It sure does, you should read this tutorial if you didn't already.

Is the plug really that small?

I'm actually following the entire series of Vray tutorials on that site. :buddy:
Test render:

HDRI environment would add so much into this.
Don't know anything about that so far, but when I do i'll update that scene with it.

I think, I hope he didn't.
Another update, had to redo the lightning because Blender didn't feel olike saving when it had to.

Oh come on
I think, I hope he didn't.
I mean, what basic tutorials.
I like it, what tutorials did you follow?
I didn't follow a specific tutorial, though I did follow this tutorial on poly editing:

Some of you may recognize that TV (a similar one was in my last render). The first part does not teach how to make that TV, but the second part does. Whilst waiting for the second part to arrive the day after, I modeled that TV from eye using techniques in the first part.

Now that you mention it... Oops! :P
Is it possible to open more than 4 viewports and to make one of them "floating" so I can move and minimize it?

Added some cables, but it looks a bit weird :\
oh hai

Now I won't be able to sleep :(
Does anyone know any useful UV mapping tutorials (max9)? Ideally video tutorials but written ones will be okay. I'm having trouble understanding :)
I could do it in Cinema 4d but not Max :\

Like I said before, I think the plug is nearly half as thick as that. And I have the same player.

Isn't required to be a perfect replica, right?
Isn't required to be a perfect replica, right?
He said it was looking weird and I offered what I believed to be the explanation for the issue.
Much appreciated PLing. I've upped the size of the jack, and I've added headphones. I've also fixed the cable draping over the player, so it's less stiff. I'm rendering now, will have it up asap.

It's because the cables defy gravity.

That's been stated
