You mean bump? Like bumpmap? Also, texturing is poor and like I said specular is WAY overdone as is the bumpmapping on the brick. I can barely make out details on his armour especially with that watermark.
Yeah I know that the texture detail is poor, unfortunately I made it 1024x1024 for whole armor because it was supposed to be used in UT3. Maeby I should do it again to 2048x2048 size? Ah yeah sorry for that, I meant Normal Bump maps. The specularity was overkill and it didnt work like "metal shine" as it was supposed to. But in mental ray I used arch+design chrome and it worked well, unlike that poor bastard. Okey I posted this here so you can see the detail bit more. This is my second human style model I have done so far. http://foldeath.deviantart.com/art/Deser-conflict-135562409 Aand the brick, it was just randomly taken from 3ds max files so it looks horrible. I am kinda beginner still, 1 year wasted on 3ds max.

Since I started posting it I shall add this one done in mental ray(first time using it) Hopefully next (human style)model will look prettier. Like its said third time's the charm :D
Too much specular mapping in my opinion. It's all equally shiny.
Too much specular mapping in my opinion. It's all equally shiny.
Aah okey, I put the light in multiplayer 6 to get it look more shiny, but I send the file that has multiplayer 1, if you could tell me how can I get it look better after it?(after I get home)
FFS don't use watermark. No one wants to steal your shitty work. Really.
Oh my god the hand is comical, the one on the far right, looks like balloon fingers.
FFS don't use watermark. No one wants to steal your shitty work.
LoL da wants advertise itself so I dont mind xD And if its so crappy dont mind the watermark of DA :P
You know you can link imgs without da logo
You know you can link imgs without da logo
Too much of trouble compared to what kind of comments I get :D (shit, crappy, bad, ugly are mostly the comments, not even how I could make them better)
That's not true. You get a lot of replies regarding how to improve. Like
You mean bump? Like bumpmap? Also, texturing is poor and like I said specular is WAY overdone as is the bumpmapping on the brick. I can barely make out details on his armour especially with that watermark.
and
Too much specular mapping in my opinion. It's all equally shiny.
Just learned a self illumination. :P So tried something out.
Hehe perspectives make sometimes funny changes to model x3
No actually I saw multiple perspectives on those hands as I looked through your DA account and it really is balloon fingers. And get rid of the specular BLOOOOM
That's super nice, you should do a ball pit!

What colours should I add?
Pillows look so small. Unless it was meant to be like that, I think they need to be a bit bigger to cover more of the couch.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v128/Raptor_Girl/Bri.jpg Link because the image is so damn huge. I was mainly just goofing off, so I stuck two models together. Daz3D millennium dragon and some giant spider. Yes, I know the tail is twisted, but DAZ models tend to be limited so twisting the tail was the only way I could get the scorpion stinger to point the right way. Also done in daz3D with a fairly decent amount of post work in photoshop. Not that many glaring errors besides the color of the mane and tail not matching closely, but it happens in real life, so eh. Image for a layout that I did and later coded with HTML. Wyvern was done in Daz3D, the rest of it, the fire and background, are photographs. I'm fairly proud of this image. It took a lot of work, but I like the end result. The fire could be a bit better, but I haven't done that many manipulations.
If it's limited, get a real 3d modeling app and fix that :D
If it's limited, get a real 3d modeling app and fix that :D
As far as I know, those cost a decent amount of money, and as it stands, I'm having issues paying for college. I have limited knowledge about them and everything I know says that it requires a lot of work to make the models/skins. I'll probably just stick to just 'shopping anything that looks off.
But your "shopping" looks awful
In which picture?
The dragon one. I almost can't believe that both were done by you. They are so, different.
Blender is a free but powerful 3d app, it has most of the functions that big commercial ones have and even a few that they don't. You should give it a shot.
The dragon one. I almost can't believe that both were done by you. They are so, different.
There were varying degrees of post-work done. The horse had color adjustments on the body. The mane and tail were pre-existing PSD files that I altered the color on. The mane has extra bits of hair added on from other areas of the mane. The wyvern required a lot more work. I'm not good at manipulations because I don't do them very much.

There's not as many tutorials at the moment (although the quality and quantity of docs is undergoing a huge increase at the moment), but the Blender Noob to Pro Wikibook is pretty good.

More than likely, I'll install it on my laptop which has a faster processor and more ram than my desktop..Especially since lately my desk top has been choking about doing Daz3D renders.
Could somebody please help me with a quick problem in ZBrush. When I load a saved document in ZBrush, I can't seem to start edit my model. I don't know why, this is getting me crazy. Help would be appreciated.
