Looks fine for WIP. Do you have any reference? Just wondering.
Yeah, I'm using the picture right under it, and I have the real thing for reference, too.
I'm bored someone give me something to model other then a penis.
Just model some thing that's in your room. That's what I did.
Mmm, white chocolate Kit-Kats. If you want to say it sucks, do. it was just something I made because I was bored. EDIT: And I wanted to mess with Ambient Occlusion and Subsurface Scattering.
1: Kitkat has logo on it's top :P 2: It looks as it would be a soap
What does this look like?
RedStar; reduce the depth of the SSS, give the chocolate more of a yellow tint.
Progress is going nicely on the back and side of the Gameboy Pocket. Here's a quick render for you guys. 399 Poly's 1000 Tri's I also found out the damn thing works today. I was looking at and it, and I was like, "Wait, why are there 2 volume sliders?" Then I looked, and I realized one was the Contrast slider, which I forgot all about. It still works fine, the contrast was just all the way up. I felt pretty dumb.
Quick Question: 3DSMax or Cinema4D?
Dont forget about maya!
Nice :D. Gonna use it on Monday. COz ppl keep changing the backgrounds ill put that and lock the CHANGE WALLPAPER function.
What does this look like?
you can do it better. try some bump map
you can do it better. try some bump map
On what? Brushed metal isn't really bumpy and carbon fiber is smooth.
you can do it better. try some bump map
The brushed metal has bump map (about 2,5 out of 100).
nVidia the texture on that picture you did looks a bit boring, the colours are too sad.
The brushed metal has bump map (about 2,5 out of 100).
well it is hard to see. but this i know you can make it better somehow. all the stuff you made is great
What does this look like?
Is that material on the logo a preset material ? Or you made it ?
So I just updated to 3ds Max 2010, it should hopefully be easier to work with than 3ds Max 2007, where UV-mapping was a gigantic pain in the ass.
Is that material on the logo a preset material ? Or you made it ?
I made it, it's 100% procedural.
Any chance someone could make me a quickish but nice looking 3D animation and render it in HD? It only needs to be 2 words with a Carbon texture that fly in from each side in a specific layout, PM me if you can =D Or add me on AIM: sneakyZ01
1: Kitkat has logo on it's top :P 2: It looks as it would be a soap

RedStar; reduce the depth of the SSS, give the chocolate more of a yellow tint.
Thanks for the tips but, I'm working on something else by now. Also, I didn't save it damn short attention span :argh: But now I save all my projects now, even if they suck. Now, I'm attempting to model a cartoon character from scratch. Had massive troubles with the hands until I realized that he doesn't even have fingers in the cartoon. :downs:
ok, so I'm tired of modeling firearms can anyone suggest me a video-tutorial on how to model cars?
If you've used plane modeling in making of your firearms cars shouldn't be any harder. Start with a plane and extrude from that, just keep the fluid shapes in mind.
If you've used plane modeling in making of your firearms cars shouldn't be any harder.
I tried once but it turned into a soup of smoothing-errors.
Select all polygons > Auto Smooth.
Can anyone explain to me the difference between cube modelling and plane modelling?
Can anyone explain to me the difference between cube modelling and plane modelling?
In Cube Modeling you start with a cube and shape it into the desired object. In Plane modeling you start with a flat plane and extrude it's edges in order to form said desired object. I'm pretty sure that's right at any rate.
Any way to improve this render : Thanks :)
any way to improve this render : thanks :)
hdri.
hdri.
Yeah, tried that with vray, but I failed hard..
Yeah, tried that with vray, but I failed hard..
make a new vrayHDRI material and assign a hrdi image to that now put this material into the environment background.
Anyone here ever heard of metasequoia? Is it any good? Some kid in my IT class swears by it. He says he really like the simple userface, but loves it's features.
