No it's not warez, it was posted somewhere in this thread.
Then I wonder, could it be that it was posted by me/my alt? Because I did post one fix, dunno if that's what you used.

2 hour WIP:

All Zeolite aircraft thus far:
flagship, battleship, aircraft carrier, fighter, and the Eiffel tower for size comparison. All to scale.

Decided that over the next day I'm going to rehash my old city with a few of my new pieces as well as a set of new renders, make it about double the size, much better renders, a few extra props and sell it for twice as much, quick money!
(also that render above is only about 1/5th of the city size)
Also my next project is a very low impact but hopefully very large city project, think the scale of a GTA world.

That entire scene is just 340 polygons, I'm going to most likely end up with a city pushing 3/4 of a million polys. It's surprisingly fun to see how little poly you can get away with.
Do you find textures on the internet or do you make them yourself?
Ajacks, out of interest how much do you sell this stuff for?
Do you find textures on the internet or do you make them yourself?
I believe a lot of the base textures are from GCTextures.
I wonder if there's a plugin/software that would allow to disable/enable plugin loading in 3ds max?
Like I got vray and finalrender, but when I launch max, I usually want only one renderer to load because every one of them adds to menus different shit that only clogs up space, and slows down max startup.
I hope that made sense.

Very little, my original Arab city which has achieved almost $4,500 over the course of the last year only sells for $79.99 a pop. I'm going to target a bit more expensive, but still low end tier of the market with this new city.
Also the images I use to make my textures almost solely come from cgtextures, for my modern city I'm working on most of the photos used for the bases of the textures will be taken with my D90.

I merge my models into a VRAY lit scene when I want to render, I just use light tracer for my normal quick renders along the way.

Nice. For once, it doesn't look like CoD: MW :v:

I'll take that as a complement again lol.
Stupid question, but how do I make an invisible plane that receives shadows?
I need it for putting a model into a photo.
-
Fuck fuck fuck. I hate max.
My gizmos are gone AGAIN.
I tried pressing Z, nothing. Pressing X, nothing.
Turning gizmos on/off in preferences, nothing.
Turning them on/off in views menu, still nothing.
Even deleted 3dsmax.ini setting file, same shit.
Jeez what could that be? :(
So I launch max, gizmo was there for like 5 seconds, I move it up a bit, and bam, it becomes invisible. It's like it is still there, just invisible.

Make a plane, go to it's object properties, turn off visible in reflection, and visible to camera, that should work.

Add a matt/shadow material, and right click on the plane and make it see-through. Unless I misunderstood what you wanted.
Regarding the gizmos, are you using openGL or DirectX for viewport rendering? Try switching between those. Kinda long shot but might work.

I kinda found out the cause. When I have divx player, for some reasons gizmos disappear. That means I can't watch streaming movies while modeling :(

Did you even understand what I was talking about?
What are gizmos? I'm not using max so I feel a bit left out here.

I still have no sense of scale on these. They look like, without a comparison provided by you, there is no way someone could figure out how big those are in comparison to an average human.

Gizmo is that thing with x,y,z on it. To move things.

Yeah, my gizmo disappears randomly as well.
I need to learn all the shortcuts.
I see videos and hear of people who can snippity snap get shit done because every shortcut from PS and 3dsMax is burned into their brain.

Only shortcuts I know is to turn off grid, turn on wireframe and turn off that box around the model.
That's it :/

You mean the axii?
No, he means the gizmo, it is the tool used too move thing along an axis.

I use Alt+L to select edge loops, Alt+R to select edge rings, and Q W E R to swap between tools.
Also 1 2 3 and 4 changes the sub object mode in modifiers.
Does anyone know how to install Maya plug-ins?
I've moved the .MLL file into the bin\plug-ins folder and used the script editor to try to initialize it, but nothing happens. It will give me
// Error: Cannot find procedure "vsDmxIO". //
I can't even initialize the default plug-ins that come with Maya

Don't really like the metal material, seeing as the zune's is a sleek, brushed metal. You should put the logo on there.
Behold, my electrometer.
