This is usually what people suggest as a tutorial on modding sites. I don't know if all the links still work. It's very old. It's a great tutorial though!

I am not sure if it is related to their database problems, but none of these links seem to work.

Dammit. I'll try to find another. I wish I still had the files.
It's a fat guy with an Afro :buddy:

I'm very... Very new at Anim8or, so this is my first model.
Hm...you gonna fix that?
Heh, it's unfixible.

I doubt you'll get very far with Anim8or
Also what theme is that?

Luna Inspirat - Search it on http://www.deviantart.com
Anyone knows where to get character references? I know DA is full of them, but it is so damn hard to find any that has front and side view of a character.
In 3DS Max how can you change the edge colour?
Anyone knows where to get character references? I know DA is full of them, but it is so damn hard to find any that has front and side view of a character.
Make sure you search "model sheets" and not "character sheets". It's much more specific to what you want.

What edge? The ones in wireframe? Default is white. If so, then go customize UI, colors, geometry dropdown and choose selection. A restart is needed to take effect, at least for me.

Yes. Where is customize UI. I'm a noob. :v: Found it. :downs:
Customize -> Customize User Interface.
It is located where File, edit, view, etc menus are. Third from right. If you still can't find, I will make a screenshot.

Awesome thanks. That helps a lot, it's hard to see the edges when there's a white reference image in the background. :3:

I changed my line color to green and now, no matter what, I am addicted to it.
You should never only have one light source, that's a terrible way to light a scene. Area, spot, and point lights are all very good in combination.
Exactly. Every part of the scene often needs to be lit differently to look good. Read up on 'three point lighting' for a good explanation. With only a single light in there the balloons would have none of that back-light shine, only a solid white bar of light along the left hand side.
I am improving my fat afro-friend:

He now has a mouth, more realistic shoes and hes back is no longer round. Plus his fat stomach is hanging.

You can make animations and save them in .avi-files.

I'll see what I can do :D
[editline]11:37PM[/editline]
Though, the afro man (sadly) is a frozen model, so his stomach won' bounce around, but can be fixed in a matter of 20 minutes ^^
[editline]11:43PM[/editline]
Here's a quick render: Just him running in a circle. I will make him dance in a moment, though no jumpin belly. Also, I converted it to a GIF so that hosting would be easier.

It lags a little. I didn't have it animate 100% of the frame, only 50% of them =/

Why is he flying? It is called anim8tor, I expected something more.
I have a Z-depth question here.
Is it possible to use the Z-Depth channel in photoshop to put an image (on a layer) between two objects in the rendered image. For example, between the main scene and the sky-backplate?
I'm making an animation where a guy picks up a box, then moves it, drops it and runs away

Took maybe 50 minutes to make.
He has rollerskates, awesome
He has rollerskates, awesome
That's the bad thing about animating bodies in Anim8or. You need to have every part Loose. Isn't too hard if you have the patience, though. I could make an animation with a guy drinking from a cup...
