Umm no, there isn't one better than zbrush. There are only different ones.

No, there aren't any better programs for sculpting than ZBrush.
Well you can see that i am a retard when it comes to sculpting programs.
oh well i am still working on my little project.

Yeah, I'm just learning how to use Maya and stuff. The pop can was made 2 days ago, the Ipod was made a week ago, following my teachers instructions.
'Tis fun. And no I don't know how to render, texture, or any other real misc stuff. And I'm using a mac. :3:
And I would rather use proper sculpting programs than the internal one of Blender but your call.
Yeah. At the moment blender's sculpting isn't that great. It gets unstable and unresponsive after about 500k polys.

As much of a ZBrush lover as I am, I'd have to argue against that. Sure, ZBrush is great, but Mudbox is a straight up sculpting program. If you just want to learn how to sculpt and not worry about baking down your model/retopo/re-rendering/etc., you should go with Mudbox.

I have to say that only superior thing mudbox has over zbrush is the texture painting, yet mudbox is 10 times more expensive than zbrush.
It's also ten times easier to use and to learn than Zbrush.

Learning it is worth the money.
who said you have to buy it what if your school has it or something. my school had 3ds max 2009 i believe and it was pretty easy stuff. but my CAD 2 class didn't get much into it as you guys are.
but my friend does some pretty cool models with it.
also i am going to wait to post what i make in zbrush seeing i ca not do a damn thing right now. need to google some brushes for it. also i don't have 3.1 if have 3.0.....
Finally got round to fixing the bike and finish it.

Sexy texturing and detail.
also i don't have 3.1 if have 3.0.....
:yarr:
I've noticed you failed to realize that the 3.0 demo hasn't been offered in about two years, ever since it was replaced by the 3.1 demo, and every new purchase of ZBrush is version 3.5.
If you're going to take this business seriously, respect the tools that make it great. Otherwise, get the fuck off.

I'd drive it.
Well I opened up 3ds Max yesterday and just started messing around, and this is what I have so far.

I'm not sure where I'm going with it, but hopefully it's not too bad.

I don't normally like scifi space things that much but that's pretty cool looking.

You can't smooth it out? Also, looks cool. If you have jagged edges and want them to be less obvious, do a fast paced scene.

Turbosmooth the stand, if it becomes a mess, fix it.
Use HDRI for nicer light and possibly reflections.

Cheers bud, got some new renders coming up. Will do some detail close ups too. :D
I'd do a 360° spin around for you, but that will have to wait! Made all my recent stuff on a laptop which isn't as strong as my stationary PC. Don't have it because it's in New Zealand, on the other side of the world... In a container.
I have a annoying problem.
I used to extrude faces while holding shift, now I can't it, this happens:

I could never extrude a POLY with shift. Edges, yes, but not polies.

As good as it is, but if you think it looks real, you need to fix your eyes.
