I feel like I'm insulting you guys by just being in your presence :< I have been practicing for like 6 weeks now and my models all still look like shit.
We all started somewhere. Do you do any tutorials or just take a bash at it? I find that making tutorials to get to know the tools really helps, after that you can concentrate on the creative part of modeling. What program are you using anyway?
I feel like I'm insulting you guys by just being in your presence :< I have been practicing for like 6 weeks now and my models all still look like shit.
I'm practising now for a year and my models look like shit
I feel like I'm insulting you guys by just being in your presence :< I have been practicing for like 6 weeks now and my models all still look like shit.
Don't worry. It was only a year ago I started modelling, with no previous modelling experience. I still remember making USB sticks and barrels. If you want to learn it bad enough you'll find yourself improving a lot.
Sorry for the big image! Things to do: Make the mud guards more rounded at the ends. Remake the engine bit (it looks awful) The back mudguard floats The back wheel has no support etc But what do you think? Maya 2009. I moved from 3dsmax to Maya because I started a media course at college and they use Maya not 3DStudio max unfortunately.
How do I get that Clay material that you guys are using in 3DS Max?
How do I get that Clay material that you guys are using in 3DS Max?
If I understand it right, it's just white/gray.
I have a skin modifier that's being used to rig a hand model, and when I try to export in .3ds, the weapon is still animated, but the hand is not, and I believe it's due to the skin modifier. Is there any way around this? (Using Max 9)
Whats everyone here use? I use Blender because I'm a combination of a cheap bastard and a too-lazy-to-get-it-any-other-way bastard
Whats everyone here use? I use Blender because I'm a combination of a cheap bastard and a too-lazy-to-get-it-any-other-way bastard
3ds max because that's what I find easy.
I rendered it again, I think it turned out much nicer.
I have a question :) On the tires(the bike), how do you make the grooves?
Whats everyone here use? I use Blender because I'm a combination of a cheap bastard and a too-lazy-to-get-it-any-other-way bastard
My pipeline may consist of a mix between 3DS Max, Maya, BodyPaint, ZBrush, Modo 401, Softimage, Houdini and RealFlow.
My pipeline may consist of a mix between 3DS Max, Maya, BodyPaint, ZBrush, Modo 401, Softimage, Houdini and RealFlow.
What do you use Houdini for?
What do you use Houdini for?
Dynamics.
