I wouldn't really call it badass, but it's really good!
Can anyone please help me with the problem I'm having?
I posted it on the previous page.

Wire please?
And will someone tell me how to destroy uv map. I have .obj with bad maps and I need to remove them completely.
Wow I need some decent Blender tutorials. Whenever I make something in that the renders are horrible. How do you make good renders in Blender, anyone got any tutorials?
I personally wouldn't invest much time into learning blender; save yourself the headache and start with 3DS Max or GMax.

I agree, I tried learning 3d modeling with Blender and never really got anywhere with it..
It's not so bad, actually. But if you're thinking of moving to another program later, it doesn't really prepare you for the next program like some of the other ones that have similarities. So all you're learning (apart from basic 3d and basic techniques) is specific to Blender only.
That's alright. Can Blender produce those photo realistic sort of images?

And thanks a lot Maloof.

I learned modeling with Milkshape 3D which was a rather easy transition to max.

You just make a new one.

Pretty much any normal renderer can, I am not sure what blender uses, but max has mental ray that can do it.
Awesome thanks.
I recommend Yafaray if you want better render quality.
Blender internal has some cool features like SSS but Yafaray is better overall.

Alright, but how much less money does Blender cost? 100% less. Not everyone has $3,500, nor is everyone a pirate.
I've used both 3DSMax and Blender, and they're both great programs, I don't know where you get off saying one is so much better than the other.
EDIT: LOL LETS RATE HIM DUMB INSTEAD OF SAY WHY WE DISAGGREE.

Overlooked?

I tried :(
A common problem I see in renders is the subject material looks too perfect. in fact, sometimes renders look better low quality because it looks like there is dust or scratches on the surfaces, so I suggest making the shells a little more rugged looking.
Some examples please? It is just that I had almost no reference.

I'm sorry but 3DS Max is a superior program, the amount of plug-ins, tools and community support for max is unmatched in Blender, Blender seems to be a common starting point for modelers but eventually they seem to migrate to programs like Maya, 3DS Max or XSI, the industry standards.

I agree. It's also easier to learn, in my opinion, than other 3D software due to the amount of tutorials and stuff you can find out there.

Meh, opinions are opinions. If I ever do get $3000, I'll buy 3DS Max. Either that, or a student version when I go to college for 3D art.

It's worth it if you're serious about 3D art and aren't just going to leave it to collect dust.

I'm just saying, people can be serious about 3D art and use Blender. That's like someone needs the newest power tools to build a house.
Are you a student of some sort? If you are, 3ds max & 4 other autodesk programs for: $200-$400.
Except in this case the newest power tools build the best looking house because of ease, support, and simplicity. I agree, people can be serious and use Blender. I would work on getting familiar with 3ds Max way before you enter college though.
