So didn't humans breed dogs to be our companions? I thought that was the whole reason they're dogs not wolves.

Dog was dead, doesn't feel any pain from the skinning. Ethical Dog was being skinned, resources used, dog not wasted. Ethical. I don't see the problem.
Well, I think it's wrong to skin animals on street like that, as for it being a dog, if it was dead and didn't suffer I don't see the problem. We don't eat dogs, someone doesn't eat pork, it's a cultural thing. I think there are worse things in the world than different cuisine.
Wow...
I would eat dog given the chance.
Welcome to Shanghai, Lynch
Its a different culture, just because we have domesticated the Dog and Cat doesn't mean they're a horrible people. Its an animal and its a source of meat, period. No different from Cows, Deer, Chickens, Fish, or Alligators.
Relativism is a terrible point of view.

It's a different culture, they don't hold dogs as close as we do, they like dog meat. I don't see a problem with this.
Relativism is a terrible point of view.
Not really. Racism and nationalism are. Understanding that other cultures hold different animals to different levels of respect (like Indians finding the Cow sacred) is being open-minded.

If it was a dead human would it be ok to skin on the streets? Would I have to say "Its their culture, I have to respect it."
I love how no one is bringing up the fact that he did this in public. [editline]19th February 2011[/editline] Except usaokay
As long as it's not alive, I'm okay with this.
