Probably been said many times before but Spongebob should've stopped after the movie
Yeah it had a perfect ending, it's a shame it didn't. I suppose it's still good for little kids to have new episodes of SpongeBob floating around since they can still get a kick out of the " haha humor "
Also another good song:

It's shame the writers got changed after the movie.
Fuck this I'm gettin' my SpongeBob avatar back on.

First time I saw that it freaked the hell out of me but now it's just become quite hilarious for some reason.

I was looking for that episode when I stumbled upon this.
Note: Episode is called "Graveyard Shift"
I remember reading that creepypasta awhile ago.
Apparently back then making creepypasta centering around videos that killed people and did creepy shit was the "in" thing. e.g. that mickey one, dead bart

I wonder if there's creepypasta for DoodleBob, seems pretty fitting.
This episodes one of my favorites

My biggest problem with Spongebob now is that he used to be this little retarded stupid world-weary 'child' who cried and got scared and just generally acted like a see-no-evil-hear-no-evil goodie twoshoes. Now, he's all serious and smart and fully understands concepts like workers compensation and various other political and ideological ideals that really just don't fit the show at all.
Patrick often acts far too smart, calculating and 'competent', though Mr. Krabs and Squidward are still suitably random enough to be enjoyable.
Anyone remember that awesome April Fools episode from early on? You know the one, where Squidward gets back at Spongebob with that super awesome april fools prank? How goddamn funny was it when spongebob plopped out of that bin like a loaf of dog food, and started whimpering and crying like a heartbroken little child who just had his first bike stolen... It's just this whole different attitude and sound and style to it that sets it so far apart from what it is now. Even the (less defined) visuals were far more appealing than this newer bright-cheeked shiny clean-cut 'modern cartoon' look.
The show is just dead to me. I can't watch the newer eps more than once, but I can watch the old seasons over and over and over because they're just so bloody perfect and niche-tastically hilarious.

DoodleBob creeped me the fuck out. I mean, that square shape, those two buck teeth, that stupid tie!

that was a longer description of our "new episodes suck, old ones are classic". But nonetheless well said
Rectangles?

I thought he kind of still acted like a mindless child, hell he even acted like an adult in the older episodes. Throughout the series, new episodes and old he always did childlike and adult things. He's sort of a mixed character, depending on the situation he's in.
I agree though about how he has a new attitude, he seems a little too perky and mindless about everything instead of acting realistic and relatable like he used to.
Honestly I thought Tom Kenny had left but I guess over time he just changed the way SpongeBob sounds, for the worse. I liked it when he was a bit quieter and calmer, but now he has a sort of ear piercing loudness to his voice. Back then he would laugh and it would be annoying in a good way, but now he speaks every sentence in an annoying way.

That forum seems to be full of retards.
This nostalgia is starting to hurt. I need to go buy the 100 first episodes box.
Anyone else notice in a lot of scenes with spongebob and patrick you can bleep out some random word and 90% of the time it will sound like a gay advance?

I have 5 of the DVD's with random episodes from Seasons 1-3 and the SpongeBob Movie but I'd still love to get that box set. I think it's like $80 though, still worth it.

Also that reminds me of that time they aired 100 SpongeBob episodes on Nick back to back all day and all night. I had to stay in the hospital during that period so I'm glad it was playing during that time and I was able to watch it.
All the episodes before the movie came out, and the movie itself, were the shit.
Then the writer's strike occurred, and those fucking new comedy writers believe that if they dumb shit down, it'll be funnier to kids.
All those song mean nothing to me except this one. Back when Christmas was magical and I believed in santa

Man, this show is my childhood, it's a shame that the newer episodes are complete crap.
*old fish in raincoat scratches glass with his hook hand then stares at crowd and says
"You got a bathroom in this place" that scene made me crack up when I first saw it and still does to this day.
