Got into MIT, pretty sure I'll be heading there next year. Planning on EE/Comp Sci, and to people looking at UMass Amherst earlier, I'm pretty sure MIT is right down the street.
edit: nope
you guys are lucky you can pay for college, i have to go to community :(
I'm getting my dad's GI bill. I just have to take out a student loan for housing and books and stuff of what scholarships don't cover.
There is always other programs too. Some people try and get into ROTC programs or join the Reserve.
ANYWAY! Today I went to the mailbox and got my official orange envelope from Oregon State confirming my admission. AND! I got an acceptance letter to University of Washington which I'd choose over OSU.

Dude community owns. At least mine did.
If you have a part-time job, you basically get free two-years of college and then transfer to a four year to finish the rest. You'll save so much fucking money but get pretty much the same education as the local university for many of the classes, especially core classes. In my community college's case, it's even better (though I think I've got one of the top 10 or 20 CC's in the country).
Sure you miss out on that cool lil' "party freshman dorm life" introduction to Uni, but really that's kinda overrated. My ex was apart of that crowd, and it would be more annoying than anything for me. I'm not exactly a social butterfly though who loves to drink all the time.
Oh and unlike at most Uni's you can work off-campus, get an off-campus apartment with other people, etc. You have the kind of freedom at CC that you don't get until you are a junior/senior at a college. Though, things at Uni are a lot closer knit when you are on-campus (including your friends, floormates, clubs, etc) so that aspect is "better" at Uni. Even still, I'd take basically "free" tuition for two year (with grants and a job) over being in debt for 4 years.

Tacoma doesn't count
I'm hoping to attend Colorado State University.. and biochemistry perks my interest. I had to get my shit together and complete highschool in 2 years instead of 4 'cause I fucked around the first two years.
Recently sent in an app, gonna take SAT this Saturday.. so I'm hoping for the best!
I'm a junior right now, one of the top track and field athletes in the nation. So far I've received letters from Wisconsin(would be my dream school, but I don't think my grades are good enough), talked to the head coach of Illinois, and got letters from a couple other D1 programs like LSU ect.

The english terms for the education programs sounds so extremly advanced compared to swedish ones. The school system kinda differs aswell - When does an american go to Uni for example? (I'm too lazy to Google it)

after 12th grade
I went to the local community college for 4 months to get my EMT-B. I think it's fair to say I'm an expert on anything that has to do with college.
