Title said it all, you didn't have to click on it. Still struggling with basic level of reading and IT skills?
Title said it all, you didn't have to click on it. Still struggling with basic level of reading and IT skills?
Exactly, the title said it and that's partly what I'm responding.
Whether I click it or not is irrelevant, just like your tryhard joke. IT skills? I think I see what you're trying to go for... You misused "IT" though...
Summary: You're a goober.

Try hard joke?
Come on, now your just posting to complete the asshole appearance.
Summary: Still pissed about failing your high school exams?

Please keep inserting assumptions like that into your arguments, you're bound to land a punch sometime!

Also, got two interviews this week and my nerves just kicked in, prepared my portfolio today, perhaps that's why.
im at miami university in ohio (it was here before florida was even a state so dont start!)
its a lot of fun, but extremely hard at the same time. majoring in management information system (and a possible double major in marketing) and a minor in spanish (and possibly creative writing)
GET SHIT ON BAD UNIVERSITY HAVERS

this university seriously owns
- brand spanking new clinical psychology course that gives me full credentials to practice as a psychiatrist (after like six months of work experience). this is the first year in the UK the course is being run anywhere so i'm gonna have a pretty unique qualification when I finish!
- just built a new Mood Disorders Centre that gives me the opportunity to work with real patients as part of my course, as well as easy access to internships and work experience
- they're moving their med students back onto this campus from Plymouth. docs are the best people to party w/ ever
- now part of the Russell group (a bit like the Ivy League or something in the US) which makes it pretty prestigious
- the campus is pretty as fuck
- 11th university overall in the UK, top 10 for psychology
- just built a giant new shopping centre and library extension
- the accommodation i'm aiming for is also new
- they gave me a fantastic offer (AAB, with a bonus £1000 scholarship if I get AAA, which is looking pretty likely since my last exam was 96%)
- a debating scholarship that gives you £5000 for writing 300 words (of course i'm competing with basically every other person who's heard of it but whatevs)
- the town is comparatively small but lively, which is fine since i live in a pretty rural area anyway and a big city would be weird
seriously excited for this course :)
is that the actual exeter campus duncan or falmouth?
I have friends in both places, and both of them love it.

exeter campus. there's an amazing view right outside the front of the psychology building where i'll be studying too. it owns bones
Sort of relevant, I got an email from Vanderbilt University detailing how I am not good enough for the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship, which waves tuition. I pulled the infamous "I am unable to accept your denial at this time" email, and I actually got a reply. :v:
A couple weeks ago I got excepted into the University of Lethbridge for a combined degree program in history and social studies education. I'm glad I got into this university because it has one of the best education programs in Canada. And I can't wait to get out of high school and move away because these last four years were shitty as fuck.
It would also appear I'm the only person going into education in this thread.
I got accepted in Edinboro University of Pennsylvania a few months ago, gonna be majoring in anthropology.
Currently in University of Colorado - Boulder, second semester here, majoring in Physics.
Decided to go here because they've got a decent Physics program and they offered scholarship, it's pretty nice here but still fucking expensive because I'm out of state.
That's where im hoping to go next year, am I good with a 31 ACT, 3.0 gpa?
Also watch out for McGill right now. Its a shitshow in terms of campus politics. Actually Montreal in general with the student strikes.

My parents went there. I'm considering Miami. What are the SAT and ACT scores to get in? Also what clubs are you in?

In Concordia University, this is true.
my college of choice has a student work program that pays for all tuition; with a few scholarships you could easily end up being paid to attend
as such, they only accept students who cannot pay for college on their own (determined by the FAFSA)
the fafsa doesn't consider debt, therefore since my sister just recently moved out (one less dependency) and my parents had an unusually good year, the government(FAFSA) thinks that my parents can give me 7K a year to go to college (they can't, they have 110K of debt). the limit is 5K
so i had to send in an appeal form that basically says 'i don't really have money here is proof'
just got a call back, they still think that I have too much, despite having nothing
hurts
Got into MIT, pretty sure I'll be heading there next year. Planning on EE/Comp Sci, and to people looking at UMass Amherst earlier, I'm pretty sure MIT is right down the street.
edit: nope
Good try considering MIT only posted about their admissions yesterday (Pi Day, March 14th) and that has been a tradition of theirs for a while.
But nope.

Currently in the final year of a music technology and software development degree. I'm working on real time acoustic feedback suppression
What's with half the people here going to UMass?
Also, just curious, but what do people think of Purdue? Is the campus any good?

If you're a Massachusetts residence, its fairly cheap, and if you can do well on the MCAS (which is pretty easy) you can get scholarships (I got one that would pay tuition for my entire time there, and now I'm somewhat questioning whether or not I should have done that since I also got into the honors college). Also its not a bad education at all (at least Umass Amherst anyways).
Last year I got accepted to Rochester Polytech (RPI), Worcester Polytech (WPI), UMass Amherst, and a couple others I really didn't care about.
Took a year at a community college, kept in contact with WPI. They told me that as long as I get B's or better in math and science courses, I will probably not have a problem being accepted in again. I got all As except for my english class, B-. Going to the community college was a great decision, I think. Saved me a bunch of money, and I don't have to go to classes of 200 students (Calculus, and Physics and such)
I'm waiting on 1 or 2 documents to arrive to them, then they can decide.
Going for Computer Science/Interactive Media and Game Development double major.
I have a cool story about Community Colleges, actually. My sister did terribly in highschool (didn't care/bad time in her life/skipping classes/drugs and all that), and barely graduated. My parents had 0 hopes of her going to college, and just hoped she would stay out of trouble. Two years after highschool, one of her friends decided to take a class at Community college, and she just out of the blue told my parents that she was going to go take a class too. They were thrilled.
Suddenly, she's going to the college full time, and decided that she would get a Mechanical Engineering degree. She was getting all As because she was trying, and kept that up for 2 years. She got an internship at Northeastern, doing some kind of research about lung tissue and cells. She transferred to WPI (Northeastern wanted her, but she wanted to commute, and WPI is closer), and how she is doing amazingly there too. She actually got an internship at Stanford, doing some kind of research on plasma.
Moral of the story: Anybody can go to college and do well if you try hard enough.
I kinda wanted to do what you did with your majors, but reversed (Game Design as a Major, and Computer Science Minor)
I plan on taking a couple of courses at my local Community College such as English and basic Art programs that I hope will help me during the Game Design course I plan on taking at Full-Sail down in Winter Park Florida in the near future. Just have to finish this last semester of High School.

Both of my parents, all 4 of my grandparents, 4 of my cousins, 3 uncles, and 2 aunts went to Purdue. They all loved it. Only my cousins were within the last 10 years, but from what I've seen, it's pretty nice. That being said, I'm applying once I finish
my junior year in 2 months.
And it's also an exceptional engineering school, and a very good computer science program. It'll be heaven for me if it's half as good as I've heard.
[editline]15th March 2012[/editline]
To those that know Purdue, I'm scared about my GPA and SAT/ACT not being good enough (may be paranoid because my parents keep scaring me about it). How is a GPA of about 3.65, SAT of 1830, and ACT of 27? I'll have an academic honors diploma and Web Design 1+2, Programming 1+2, and AP Computer Science under my belt when I graduate.

Yep. It's the same here with people who live in Connecticut and UConn.

That ACT score seems kind of low, the EECS department of my public state school doesn't take any lower than 28. You have plenty of time to take it again though.
got accepted into all my uni apps so far, got interview for last one falmouth is on the 20th then i have to decide which one i like most ( im crap at deciding anything)
cardiff game art and animation , hertford 3d games art , bolton games art. and falmouth digital animation. . bolton i really only put on there because i had a free choice to use up.
Does universities look at grade 11 averages? (Had a shit grade 11 term due to judgmental teachers)

if you have judgmental teacher problems in high school, what makes a college think you can handle them too?
