And it's not prejudiced to have an opinion generalizing the majority of a genre. Most music in a certain genre is going to sound very similar and I base my opinion on songs I have heard that are grindcore. I just don't find it enjoyable. I hear the snare drum too much, the guitar is nothing special, and the vocals just get old.

My friend listens to nothing but indie rock and musicals and thinks he can tell me what music is good and what music is bad.
He says every single song with unclean vocals is terrible. I respect his opinion, but it just gets so annoying for him to constantly call my music terrible.

One of my favorite bands (IXXI) is completely anti-Western and aren't shy about it in the slightest, yet I love listening to them.
I find Godspeed's whole Anarchist/Whatever schtick silly but I love their music.
