I think it's pointless having pet peeves about Popular music. Through years there are bound to be people who hate it... regardless. Underground is underground... but do I really want to mess my head up by staying down there for the rest of my life? (no offence) but no :v: What really is underground these days anyway.
you should let her have her opinion next please
i was joking bro i like to wind her up about it though :3
i had a feeling you were joking, but I said it anyway to be sure :c00lbert: winding up your girlfriend is always fun :respek:
and i'm still right :c00lbert:
I jsut don't like KoL automerge is being a cunt
I like how none of your posts got merged right now
I don't like how a relationship falls over when music seems to be an arguement. I'm not talking on personal experience because I'm awesome, but a mate of mine dumped the girl for not being as interested in music as he is. :wtc:
I'm lucky because my bird happens to like alot of the music I play and we spend alot of time just listening to and chatting about music
The thing is, could I handle a marriage based on our psychedelic experiences? I think so. :smug:
I'm lucky because my bird happens to like alot of the music I play and we spend alot of time just listening to and chatting about music
I thought you meant your actual bird lmao ... your "bird" is your girlfriend right? My girlfriend isn't very interested in music, but breaking up with her because of that would be plain stupid, worst decision I could ever make
Yeah she's not feathered
Yeah she's not feathered
good for you, man good for you I hate it when my friends aren't the least interested in music and don't want me to recommend them anything :saddowns:
Another pet peeve is the slight distortion of any kind in digital formats. If I listen to Analogue, I have enough care for the format that distortion doesn't affect the experience. But digital quality should be what it's intended as. "The Crispest crisp sound you'll ever hear", and that's not always the case. :v:
digitial distortion sounds worse than analogue distortion anyway. [editline]31st May 2011[/editline] It's like the distortion itself is sharp and crisp
Intentional distortion on the other hand, is nice.
To be honest I detest screamed/growled vocals, And then a friend tells me the screamed lyrics are "poetic". :colbert: Then they call me weird for having mass amounts of different genres in my phone. Listen to some Pink Floyd I said. They rejected it. FUCKING HELL.
Someone being a fanboy of a certain band. Seriously, this stupid idiot won't listen to anything else, and that's actually not the problem, since it might even be possible to just like one band, but he is blindhating everyting else.
To be honest I detest screamed/growled vocals, And then a friend tells me the screamed lyrics are "poetic".
Well they can be

I have a few non-music savvy friends who only started listening to him once he died, what annoys me more is they'll defend him at all costs just because he's dead.
How can one reject Pink Floyd? :byodood:
I don't like them either :smug:
How can one reject Pink Floyd? :byodood:
Maybe because they're not gods like most people make them out to be?
How can one reject Pink Floyd? :byodood:
very easy
Another peeve for me would be people who would only listen to a certain artist once they've died, Michael Jackson in particular. I have a few non-music savvy friends who only started listening to him once he died, what annoys me more is they'll defend him at all costs just because he's dead.
To be honest I started listening to Michael Jackson again after he died, it motivated me to start getting into his stuff again. Similar thing happened with Dimebag and Pantera, I saw loads of tributes and the like which got me to listen to Pantera. Truth be told I find it annoying that people seem to act like there are better ways to discover a band, I don't really get it

I myself think they're great, and I was a Michael Jackson fan before he died, people told me I was weird for listening to him while he was still alive then changed their opinions after he did. Funny that. :downs: [editline]1st June 2011[/editline]
Maybe because they're not gods like most people make them out to be?
So right.
my fucking pet peeve is when MY FUCKING favourite vinyls wear out do you guys know how difficult it is to find stereolab lp's?
I get annoyed by "Die-hard" fans who complain about an artist/band going in a slightly new direction even after 2 or 3 albums. You just cant expect them to churn the same stuff out all the time. And when they complain about them "selling out" to the mainstream. A lot of Black Keys and Arctic Monkeys fans are guilty here.
