it's because they are lazy
on jazz sheet music they don't even bother writing the notes and just write down the chord meaning you get to have fun figuring out what fucking voicing you're supposed to play :smith:

My geography teacher wore a Tool t-shirt once
and in the test he asked for comments about the course

and I got the test back today with the comments on it, he had written :D next to it :3:

My year 11 english teacher is a Tool fan. She went and saw them live and kept teasing me about it.
My old english teacher has loads of quotes on the wall, half are from radiohead, the national, arcade fire and frightened rabbit, bowie and hendrix. He is my favourite teacher.
Why can't all teachers be this cool.
