I do know this..
I've been here for 2 years as well :downs:
It's been a good journey, it's given me a big catalogue of personality to comprehend. :buddy:

How was I like?
Very true, at least she's nice about it. That's why she's cool. :3:

Nice to be cool, but cooler to be nice.
I dunno, but if I play music and the people I'm with don't like it I want them to tell me
"Love the music you already enjoy" is the reply I get. But people don't seem to get that it's a given so why say it?
In other words, they are too lazy to listen to new music.
How was I like?
I don't remember why but I think I was annoyed at you for some reason
Then I realized you're a cool guy :v:

I remember something:
This guy posted a Doors thread and said "They're more creative and influential than any modern band"
I said "In reality, a band like Radiohead is more influential"
You thought that I was a cool guy after I said that. :smug:
I remember my first days.
I posted a horrible comic that was so horrible that I am ashamed of myself.

HOLY FUCK 4000'th psot
[editline]5th June 2011[/editline]
Maybe it shouldn't have been a 4-word one :v:
Anyway I love you all
I really hate people who think a band or a song sucks just because it's "old". :argh:
I really hate people who think a band or a song sucks just because it's "old". :argh:
I can accept people for disliking older production styles. Sometimes it's okay to do that.
I can accept people for disliking older production styles. Sometimes it's okay to do that.
Some of them even think a song that was released 2-3 years ago is old. :colbert:
Poor quality recording is hit and miss for me. I hated Dimmu Borgir's shitty quality older albums, but I love In Flames'.
Some of them even think a song that was released 2-3 years ago is old. :colbert:
In that case, it's just standard douchebaggery.
Poor quality recording is hit and miss for me.
It's the opposite for me, I think it has a sort of charm that I like. :v:
How was I like?
I remember bitching at you for not liking drone doom :v:
I dislike people who look at Deadmau5 and say that he's the pinnacle of House. He's decent, just not that decent.
I dislike people who look at Deadmau5 and say that he's the pinnacle of House. He's decent, just not that decent.
The fact he's "progressive" house makes me laugh a lot.
Seriously.
I dislike people who look at Deadmau5 and say that he's the pinnacle of House. He's decent, just not that decent.
People who say he's the pinnacle have clearly not that much knowledge since the peak of the genre was in the 90s.

Depends what "progressive" is to you. You want to know my definition?
People who say he's the pinnacle have clearly not that much knowledge since the peak of the genre was in the 90s.
Most people seem to ignore 90's House. Which is depressing because artists like 808 State and Robert Owens deserve credit. To be honest when people think about music in the 90's, they think Britpop.

I swear the only music people mean when they talk about the 90's is the 90's rock and metal.
This is just from personal experience in life.

People think prog is just an orgy of genres or just music that "progresses" or "builds" into something.
I think it's simply about styles moving in different directions within the track, it hits you with different rhythms and in a way just messes with your head.
This is a good thing, the more powerful the changes, the more effective. But whether it's more artistic is questionable.
Anyone get my drift?
Yeah, pretty understandable and straight forward definition.

One of my earliest memories is watching ''Sweetest Thing'' by U2 on MTV.
I think I understand, and I agree. You don't sound to crazy this time. :v:

There's one thing understanding, another thing to experience it so you can make your own mind up. :smugdog:

okay now you're talking gibberish again :colbert:
okay now you're talking gibberish again :colbert:
I create my own definition, I don't expect other people to think it's "fact".

I always thought of progressive bands as bands that have a vastly different sound each album.
Different rhythms in the same track always fell under technical for me.
It's just ironic how it's "progressive" even though his music is just loops.
I always thought of progressive bands as bands that have a vastly different sound each album.
Well that's true. But it's actually a lot bigger than that because bands that are actually prog wouldn't deliver something that has been given before.
Sometimes they can use electronic sounds, jazz and whatever... but the song structure will be completely different.

Then it's probably not Progressive at all :v:
