People that judge your intelligence just because of your music opinions.
That's not a bad thing to do. "it's shit because it is" is less clever than "I think it's musically underdeveloped." :smug:
That's not a bad thing to do. "it's shit because it is" is less clever than "I think it's musically underdeveloped." :smug:
Eh It's the same opinion isn't it, just expressed in two different ways
Nah, one's being harsher than probably they were meaning to. When it comes to judging it, you've got to be yourself otherwise it's not worth it.
People that judge your intelligence just because of your music opinions.
now hear me out, i like I.C.P. and all that, and i get flamed for it, and called dumb, yet i'm smarter than 9/10 of the kids in my classes, and i take honors courses and want a great future for myself, it's a pathetic stereotype that ALL juggalos are dumb and all juggalettes are fat and dumb (and all of the 'los and 'lettes i know are smart both mentally and "street smart (common sense wise)" and not fat......
But apparently they can't make decent sentences.

And to think you are really smart because you are in honors classes.
I am smarter than at least 9/10 of my class but I am also lazier than 27/28 of my class. The moral of the story is that you don't have to be dumb to act like a retard.
to be honest I think musical interest is more important to me in a person than intelligence. I get A's and shit in English lit but I'm not one of those people who measures his success in life by his smarts. To me, life is measured by how much of it you can tell your grandkids and it'll make them envious. Even if it's just smoking pot in the fields behind your house, discussing modern rap music with your friends. Also the kids that aren't as 'smart' as me grades-wise are a lot happier and chiller than me, and they're definitely easier to be friends with than I am.

I use this argument when my parents complain about me not working hard enough in school. Sure I need decent grades, but I want to be a firefighter goddamn it, not an accountant. [editline]9th June 2011[/editline] Could definitely get some good stories from firefighting.
"life is measured by how much of it you can tell your grandkids and it'll make them envious." this is beautiful i am crying right now

But you have to spread the heart around, I've made 10 people dizzy already by making them listen to Death Grips. :smug:

Try to level with people and don't get in a war about who is shit or not.

This kind of stuff is what pisses me off. Searching for - here's an example - Lack Of Interest's first album. Neither Google nor Discogs can find any results for retailers carrying the record. Damn... that can't be a good sign. Well, let's find out what label it was released on, maybe their site will carry it. Okay, so the label is called "Slap A Ham records." Okay, let's look that up... "Slap A Ham Records was [uh oh...!] a hardcore punk, thrash metal and grindcore label from San Francisco, California owned and operated by Chris Dodge of Spazz, Despise You, Lack Of Interest and several other bands. The label is now defunct." :argh: Basically how difficult it can be to find some punk/hardcore/extreme music. Record's out of print, label's defunct, record can be found in only the most remote corners of the internet for an unreasonable price, label's site is primitive and has a very odd and unusual method for placing orders that's a pain in the ass to deal with, or I don't know, something along those lines.
Someone used the ''real music'' excuse on Facebook, pretty hilarious, he even mispelled Lynyrd Synyrd.
Someone used the ''real music'' excuse on Facebook, pretty hilarious, he even mispelled Lynyrd Synyrd.
Funniest argument/excuse ever. Funny because it's so goddamn retarded.
I do find the argument stupid, but I do like to ask people if they've got any music on their phone/ipod/car when they're playing shit. [editline]17th June 2011[/editline] A good example is this guy I work with, his musical horizons stretch about as far as Now albums. Broaden those horizons mofucker
Classic thread must be revived. I get this weird annoyance when people insinuate that if you don't like a particular thing then you either "weren't "listening" (in quotes because it's always emphasised)" or "don't get it". Both of these in a way are very true, but they've become a cliche when discussing music that they're pretty much throwaway words.
I hate it when you say you don't like something and someone suggests you listen to it again that's the last thing I want to do with something I don't like
When someone says they didnt enjoy a gig but had seating ticket. Assholes who sit on their phone during a concert. Assholes who spend more time looking at the gig through a camera.
When someone says they didnt enjoy a gig but had seating ticket. Assholes who sit on their phone during a concert. Assholes who spend more time looking at the gig through a camera.
implying there's only one way to enjoy a gig

Recommending a band to your friends and when they've barley listened to it, regard it as shit because of the way you dress. Suddenly, after one of their friends recommend it, it's suddenly good. I'm looking at the metal scene, it's overflowing with twats considerably. [editline]19th May 2013[/editline] Almost every "metalhead" I know now also wears white trainers everywhere and asked one why, apparently they're "more metal" What in the flying fuck

I gave a good friend who listened to nothing but metal a bit of burzum a listen and he immediately said "woah dude you listen to way crazier stuff than I do". :/
I'm not a fan of some western records being released in Japan with a special edition track/master just for that country. Happens way too often and it's weird.
I'm not a fan of some western records being released in Japan with a special edition track/master just for that country. Happens way too often and it's weird.
it shouldn't happen regardless of where the artist is from and the countries its being released to.
