That was a joke.
But on-topic.
People who think rap is all about money, cars and hoes.
people who complain about the "loudness war"
[editline]b[/editline]
but this thread is about things that bug you that are done by artists. if you wanna complain about what your friend said about death metal go the "worst thing you've ever heard someone say about music" thread guyssssssss
has nobody mentioned the loudness war or did i skim over that?
I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but yeah, no wonder everyone is going deaf.
broke automerge
I hate when artists get to that point of cockiness when they feel like they can release anything and everyone will automatically like it.
Music Snobbery. Ok, I dislike a lot of popular music, but disliking music because it's popular is just dumb. And the whole "I liked x-Band before they we're popular!" thing.
In the defense of people like this, I honestly tend to hate popular music because I hear it way too much. I'm sure that everyone agrees that listening to a song to often can make you sick of it. This is the case with most popular music I get into. I love it when I first listen to it, but after I hear it the 30th time in a public restaurant, I hate it.
And the fact that one band can have a shitty guitarist that plays a different fucked up way so instantly its a new genre, what the fuck. Metal comes out with more shitty subgenres than disney comes out with shitty ass movies.
i love metal but holy shit i completely agree
has nobody mentioned the loudness war or did i skim over that?
This. Fucking this.
Music is way too overproduced nowadays.
If they could cut back on the editing and making it sound perfect, they'd have a more raw, real sounding album.
hmm not the music i listen to
but yes everyone needs to cut it out with the final cut pro shit and just go basic 4 track for a while
especially electronica artists, electronic music is incomplete without surface noise and tape hiss

And go back to analog synthesizers - they sound so much warmer.
Pig squeals. I hate them so damn much. I tried getting into Dying Fetus, I really tried, but those fucking pig squeals man, those fucking pig squeals
And go back to analog synthesizers - they sound so much warmer.
that's not feasible considering they've jacked up the prices to amazing new heights
in aphex twin's time you could buy a TB-303 for 50 pounds because literally no-one was interested in them during that time.
i have a friend who collects analogue shit so for me it's easy to access that gear but for the pro guys even on their salary it's hard, especially because they all need to be serviced.
i usually hate choruses, repetition, really short songs.
In a rap/hiphop album they go.
uh

And a lot of the time they do it in their rapper voice so it sounds more like "yeee"
Choruses with less than 3 words
Choruses with less than 3 words
Listen to Battle Metal by Turisas.
It's got the best 2 word chorus ever.
I like them. Sue me? :smug:
OH REALLY
so what are your favourite crunkcore artists then? what songs? :smug:
my favourite crunkcore song is master of puppets
crunkcore is too good for metallica smug
I fucking hate it when I rip an album and the info is incorrectly capitalised. I know it's a little thing, but it seriously pisses me off.
I also can't stand it when people just pile assorted songs by an artist onto their Ipod and don't categorize/sort anything. I always see an album as a release you should see as one thing, not a CD containing a couple of songs you like. It's also just sloppy and looks stupid
I fucking hate it when I rip an album and the info is incorrectly capitalised. I know it's a little thing, but it seriously pisses me off.
I hate incorrect album info too, because then I have to spend lots of time fixing it. It's especially annoying when there aren't any track numbers
When The Mars Volta purposely includes a few minutes of ambient noises in a song for no goddamn reason. Everyone that listens to them knows what I'm talking about. Good thing the music they make is so goddamn good though that it evens out.
I kind of like that sometimes, it makes it feel more connected and less like a bunch of songs on a disk put together. Having said that, it can get annoying when I just want to listen to their songs
In all those bands from the 70's that interrupt otherwise great lyrics in an awesomely made song and yell out "BABY BABY BABY BABY" hundreds of times for no reason. I'm looking at you, Led Zeppellin.
