Why would I want to hear your answering machine messages in-between songs?
Huh?
I don't see anything wrong with skits. They're nice :3:
When there are great improv sections on studio albums and the band just does them really crappy during live performances

how about choruses with no words ?

nope blur is way better
Choruses with words in the negative are the best. :colbert:
Steve Wilson uses Logic and still gets great sound and quality of sounds
Digital is as capable of getting a fantastic sound as analog is but people just get lazy using digital imo.
that's exactly the thing though analogue sounds like shit but in a good way. like i said electronica misses something when it doesn't have any hiss and if you just add it in digitally you are missing the point behind it
auto tune on everything
Auto Tune isn't bad under the right circumstances but Vocoder is definitely better.
maybe I should've said robot voices on everything.
Discovering an awesome band/artist, only to find out that most or all of their albums are either out of print or otherwise really difficult to find.
I hate people who act like their opinion is a fact.
I was joking, in reality I hate when people get into arguments over which is better, I was listening to some of my friends arguing over it. It was the most circular argument I've ever heard, completely pointless.
Discovering an album 10-15 years old that I like, go to look for more good stuff from that artist, and the rest of their music is shite.
People who despise you because you found out about an artist by playing a music video game. This is how I found out about Muse and Metallica. Played the game and listened to there songs, became a fan of them.

Tony Hawk was the reason why I like Johnny Cash. V:v:V
If it weren't for Guitar Hero I probably wouldn't be as into music as I am now.

Examples of one hit wonders?
I fucking hate it when I rip an album and the info is incorrectly capitalised. I know it's a little thing, but it seriously pisses me off.
I hate incorrect album info too, because then I have to spend lots of time fixing it. It's especially annoying when there aren't any track numbers

No track numbers or track numbers in the name GODDAMMIT :frogdowns:
i hated all this stuff too until i got this program
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
it can auto-number mp3s and autocorrect capitalization and automatically create filenames based on the parameters you set and the mp3's tags
like it's seriously a godsend when it comes to organizing a music collection

I started listening to Andy Blueman, commented that I first heard it on a WoW boss kill video, and then started getting told I wasn't a 'true' fan of him.
I just laughed.
I was listening to the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, and my sister comes up and asks what I am listening to. I tell her it's the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, and she blatantly comes out and says that that isn't music.
IT'S FUCKING ORCHESTRATED MUSIC.
Videogame music IS music. Infact, it's more music than the "bitches and hoes and bitches" shit that she deems music.

This. Video game music is too underrated.

Nintendo music is God-Tier.
There is this song in Super Mario Galaxy (one or two) that is just slap-bass. :iia:
Peoples that ask me to do better when I give a negative opinion on an album/artist/song.

if it weren't for that game i would have no musical identity right now
Soul got me into music :smug:

We would never have guessed..

Going way back to this comment because of the current discussion. Any sane person wouldn't despise you, because you've actually gone off and listened to more of their music before becoming a fan. I could see why they despise you if you heard the one song by a certain band on a game and then proceeded to claim that you're a fan.
Now for my pet peeve(s). People that think that Bullet For My Valentine and Parkway Drive are the epitome of metal. Also, people that lump actual death metal in with the bullshit deathcore bands.
if it weren't for that game i would have no musical identity right now
Oh my god this. Playing Monkey Wrench on my brother's Guitar Hero 2 was my first moment of love of proper music. I wouldn't go as far as to say I listened to bands solely because they were on Guitar Hero, but it was my first introduction to an array of genuine artists. I don't feel like I should be judged negatively for this, because otherwise I wouldn't have gone on to listen to anything I do now, or play actual guitar.
