Infact, it's more music than the "bitches and hoes and bitches" shit that she deems music.
this post contains two pet peeves: 1. "More music"- what the fuck does that even mean 2. the obvious mis-characterization of your sister's musical tastes- "bitches and hos"
How everyone tries to interpret every song as a love story. When an album could have have been really solid, but there's a few tracks that sound like they weren't trying.
I was listening to the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, and my sister comes up and asks what I am listening to. I tell her it's the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, and she blatantly comes out and says that that isn't music. IT'S FUCKING ORCHESTRATED MUSIC. Videogame music IS music. Infact, it's more music than the "bitches and hoes and bitches" shit that she deems music.
Oh wow I fucking HATE it when people say that orchestral music, whether it's for a soundtrack or not, isn't real music. What the fuck? Are you telling me that all composers who write or have written orchestral music, from Handel to Shore, aren't artists? "omg lol its old and boring" "eww orchestra" :bang: Also I dislike it when composers think that complexity makes the piece. Complexity is nice, but it's not always necessary to convey a message.

It's like saying desktop icons are art but Picasso isn't.
This is utterly one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. It's like saying desktop icons are art but Picasso isn't.
People say desktop icons are art? What the fuck.
Extremely non-emotional singers. I have to feel it bitch.
People say desktop icons are art? What the fuck.
pixel art v:v:v
I hate when people complain about the cover art being made in an easy way. It's not your choice therefore take it as it is :argh:
People say desktop icons are art? What the fuck.
Pretty much everything that a human being does, draw, make music, make a sculpture etc. is art. Even if it is copied from another work, or shit, or you don't understand it.
Pretty much everything that a human being does, draw, make music, make a sculpture etc. is art. Even if it is copied from another work, or shit, or you don't understand it.
I suppose. It's not my kind of art.
Why do so many hip-hop albums have all these skits? No other genre of music does that and it doesn't really add to the music. Okay Kanye, we get that you think college is a waste of time but we don't need thirty 10 second tracks telling us about it. See guys like A Tribe Called Quest and Nas understand that a rap album should be filled with y'know actual songs.
A lot of hip hop artists such as Kanye look at an album truly as a piece of art with a story to be told, not necessarily just a disc with really good music on it. I agree skits are annoying, but not when they're done right like they were in College Dropout. It only enhances the story being told by all the songs. Your reasoning sounds biased when you say it adds nothing to the songs when it really does. If you listen to the story being told and message behind the songs such as We Don't Care, you would hear the story unfold. But I don't believe you are biased towards Kanye or hip hop, just annoyed by skits, which I can understand your point of view. :v:
A lot of hip hop artists such as Kanye look at an album truly as a piece of art with a story to be told, not necessarily just a disc with really good music on it.
Well then tell your story through music. I didn't buy your damn CD to hear a damn audiobook. I would have bought an audiobook to hear a damn audiobook. How would you feel if you bought an audiobook and like it was really the Village People's Greatest Hits. Or if you bought a book, but instead the manager of Barnes and Nobel kicked you in the crotch.

People that call Megadeth Megadeath.
People that call Megadeth Megadeath.
What?
through the magic of technology you can skip these skits
Yeah and I suppose the holocaust isn't all that bad if you ignore all the deaths and trauma.
What?

People that call Megadeth Megadeath.

Oh, okay. :v: [editline]25th May 2011[/editline]
Yeah and I suppose the holocaust isn't all that bad if you ignore all the deaths and trauma.
It really wasn't.
not really an annoyance about musicians but, people who buy overpriced scullcandies that "make better sound" and then listen to rap thats made to sound like 16 bit music
not really an annoyance about mucitians but, people who buy overpriced scullcandies that "make better sound" and then listen to rap thats made to sound like 16 bit music
gosh i know there are soo many of these people
this is why I don't like skits
...because they ruin otherwise great brokencyde albums?? i mean i don't see how you can link to specific bad examples of something and use that as evidence for why the entire concept is bad
People that call Megadeth Megadeath.
That reminds me, people that call Dream Theater, Dream Theatre or however it's spelled. I understand it's the European spelling or some shit, but it's the bands name so spell their name right.

I have to remind myself to spell theater the band's way when I type/write their name.

Buy some JVC or Panasonics for the same money.
When I introduce someone to music and they don't give it a chance or even listen to it. Whats worse is when a few weeks later they start listening to it.
When I introduce someone to music and they don't give it a chance or even listen to it. It annoys me to no extent that industrial is the only music I can listen to nowadays...
When I introduce someone to music and they don't give it a chance or even listen to it. Whats worse is when a few weeks later they start listening to it.
Yeah it really gets me fucking angry when my friends start to like a band I showed them I mean fuck sake
