Damn I can't wait for next season.
Lisa Edelstein isn't coming back next season, wonder if they even write her out next episode because she recently announced it, after the episodes were made. [editline]21st May 2011[/editline] It actually has a lot of flaws in the medicine itself.
Well yeah, but that's considered it's most realistic aspect. It usually does a good job of being accurate with it. The problem is how the doctors act. They take a shotgun to the solutions board and pick solutions based on the spread.
Just watched the finale.. I did not expect that. Gonna be interesting to see the 1st episode of Season 8.. so long to wait now.
That was certainly an interesting finale [editline]23rd May 2011[/editline] Also, does anyone else think that Thirteen looks way more fake since she's gotten back? Looked way better before.
Well that was a crappy episode. I think 13 is wearing more makeup than usual, and has a different haircut. She keeps pulling her bangs back, which makes her forehead look huge. It's not a good look.
That episode ending: Holy fucking shit.
I've watched most of the first season and I have to ask how it compares to the show later on. It just got obnoxiously formulaic after awhile: patient comes in, they try 387 diagnoses and treatments that end up hurting the patient and the answer ends up being ridiculously convenient and obscure or really simple. Sure, the cases are different and the relationships between the characters progress, but how was it not the same thing for 20 episodes?

The patients themselves don't really matter, except in the occasional case where the patient dies which usually ties in to be equally miserable with the main character's lives. In the overall landscape of the story, the patients are not really people, but rather they are puzzles for House to play with and solve. His indifference towards the lives of the patients comes back at him in one episode where he is locked in a room with a dying patient that he might have been able to save, but did not take the case at the time because it "looked boring." He's even gone as far as allowing patients to continue actions that they know will kill them eventually, but doesn't care because he already figured out the diagnosis. The supporting actors are what makes the show great, which is why I was disappointed at the sudden departure of Masters this season and the sudden suicide of Kutner in season 5 (they had to cut Kutner out of the show fast, because of the actor received a job at the white house). Over the past two seasons or so, the patients have had a lot more weigh on the story. They tried a lot in the earlier seasons with things that didn't work. Having a villain (Vogler) didn't work because everyone knew House wasn't going to get fired. His ex worked short term, but only for season 2. Michael Tritter (the cop) did a great job in season 3, because he started threatening to take down other characters and not just House (the audience knew House wouldn't be jailed/fired). The fourth season is all about House hiring his new team, and the subsequent relationship between Amber and Wilson. Season 5 is where the story takes a new turn, now fully focused on House's vicodin addiction. This culminates in a very creepy final few episodes where the combination of drugs and stress start to make House hallucinate. Season 6 is House dealing with life without Vicodin, and reforming his old team (they quit after season 5). Season 7 dealt with House attempting to have a relationship with Cuddy.
So yea, that finale: wat I had it in my mind that there was going to be one more episode, so I was thinking it'd be a nice double-team finale (like season 4). But uh... what. Obviously Wilson was wrong about where to find House, and now that there are serious charges on his head (and more that will be found and added, Tritter anyone?) how the hell is he going to get back to the hospital? Who goes to a tropical island wearing what House is wearing? Where's his shit? What exactly happened to Wilson's wrist? Gah! I can't see this show going past season 8. What the hell are they going to do? House takes over the world?

Wow, after years of acting like he is unaffected by anything, he pretty much shows that it does affect him by [sp]driving into Cuddy's house?[/sp]. I was hoping that the next season would be more like the first few, but after this one's ending, I doubt it.
Damn Taub is a mastery of evolution is he not?

Maybe they're going to change the show to House: Island Doctor and focus on House hanging out in the tropics and just ditch all the other characters.

Fuck that. Finale was very surprising, but it kinda pisses me off that we have to wait until September to find out what happens as a result.

Yeah there are a few that break the mold but that's it really. Personally I love that though.
HAHAHAHA, When he [sp]told Wilson to get out[/sp] I wanted to yell "YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS" really loud because I knew what was coming next. That was fucking mental.

Interesting finale, I could see it coming though when he told Wilson [sp]to get out of the car.[/sp]
They way that [sp]Cuddy reacts at first[/sp] doesn't fit the way [sp]she acts during the beginning when she's being questioned[/sp] at all.
i like olvia wilde's forehead it's so... big :q: seriously though i think she's fuckin perfect physically. also this cop is a total buzzkill, before he came along house was total feel good fuel now it's just depressing with this hypocritical megalomaniac who abuses his fucking power. he doesn't fucking understand that house is really a good guy, it's kinda funny how he fingered him so fucking wrong. probably playing off the notion that cops are insanely judgmental and they stick by their first impressions of people (it's how they profile)
Wow. That was different. F'n cliffhangers.
Ok, how about House: Island Doctor with his bikini-clad sidekick
Olivia Wilde does not need to be in a bikini to be gorgeous. Though it doesn't hurt.
ugh olivia is ugly as fuck, her face is too wide, and way too much makeup. cameron in s01 is cute though :3:
wide faces are symmetrically more ascetically pleasing. if it's not your personal preference that's fine but according to the "perfect face" it's the more attractive kind of face
dat jawline
Why wasn't the piña colada song played as House walked into the sunset? :colbert:
last episode patient
Haha, anyone else laugh when Doctor House [sp]landed in the swimming pool after fooling a crowd of unsuspecting people that he was about to commit suicide?[/sp] It was probably my favourite scene
