Try to fit it into a baseball sized container
It will die
Don't breed to many you can only carry six.
It's basically a type of salamander that never grows up to be a proper salamander. They can regrow limbs, being sort of made of stem cells, and if you inject it with iodine it'll turn into a proper salamander.
A lot of people say you shouldn't induce metamorphosis as they have a risk of dying and it is also painful for them, they do pretty often naturally undergo metamorphosis though.

get out
Its kind of cute, in its own way, but it still looks like a burn victim.
Breeding them would be wonderful if you have the logistics for it and are prepared to have hundreds of the little critters running around. 10 years of aquatic experience? What do you have? Not to many fish keepers 'round these parts.

I don't have a problem with people owning endangered species as long as they know the consequences of their actions. Breeding them would be beneficial and I would encourage more people who know what they are doing to do it. The more animals we can breed in captivity the less animals we have to take out of nature. Hobbyists are a huge part of this.

If you didn't involve mudkips and pokemon, you would have a great thread, especially if you talked about it being endangered.

i refuse to believe this man is not bill murray dressed in fishing gear 24/7
Not too long ago on Yahoo Answers, I answered somebody's question of whether axolotls were legal in Ontario. I thought that the guy was joking due to their resemblance to mudkips. I "humored" him with my facetious answer, but after recalling that they are on the endangered species list, I can now see how such a question could be considered legitimate.

not so cute
Some owners though have reported the spontaneous transformation of theirs, which is rare, as it causes them a lot of pain (apparently).

guess it really is a pokemon after all

sort of
OP, you are an idiot. That is NOT a pokemon.
I have an Axolotl....believe it or not, Mudkip is nothing like it. The Axolotl is known as 'Wooper Looper' in Japan. So guess where the pokemon 'Wooper' came from...
Still, I hate it when people generalise these creatures with cartoon ones. :(

It isn't. But it is endangered.

You know how many Clown fish have perished due to kids wanting a Nemo? Ughhh.

Yeah. But still, I hate how people assume animals similar to those in movies will be exactly like that in real life. In this case, the OP is ordering an ENDANGERED SPECIES just because it looks like a bloody pokemon.

At least he wants a home for it, you ignorant cross-dresser. The fact that he wants to benefit the species is also good.
There is nothing wrong with his decision, you people read 'lol pokemon' and freak out.

As long as its looked after, theres no reason why he shouldn't have one. Sorry, its just I'm often on edge when I come across something like this. I keep an Axolotl too and think they are an amazing species. I guess I just feel protective of them.

I was agreeing with you. Hundreds of Clowns have "caught a ride on the porcelain express" Because some kid cried to their mom enough to buy a fish they didn't even know needed saltwater. Then they come back the next day and bitch out the store owner for a refund because their fish died in hours.
Well op, if you are not bullshitting, post pictures.

The number of times I have been in the store... "Mummy, where is nemo?" or "Come on son, go and find nemo" and I just facepalm.
