I'm not rich or old either. But hear me out. I just got out of 3 years of virtual school, and because of the area I live in, I was pretty much void of human contact away from my PC. I just got back into high school, and even though I was told by my own parents that I probably should avoid the other kids because I "wasn't normal", a very nice, good natured, beautiful girl came into my life within a week and asked me out. I was feeling like crap like you too, feeling worthless really. When I met her, I felt like the luckiest guy in the world just to care for her.
Take a stroll around, find a nice girl, and just talk with her. Speak naturally, and you may be surprised what happens. You don't have to be rich or old really, just be a nice guy.

I do have friends, go to the bars/clubs every week and if I don't I'm probably watching movies with them.
The thing is, I don't have a steady job, and if I do get called for a job it's putting towels towels in a machine (imagine doing the same movement 5000 times in 8 hours) .
Sometimes I have a job redecorating car showrooms, which is fun, but I still have a feeling I'm wasting my life.
I didn't get accepted in the study I wanted to go to this year, but I am working my ass off to get accepted next year, and still I feel like I'm wasting my life.

I would accept that any day from a person in your position.
My biggest fear is, when I die, that I'll regret not having lived and that nobody'll remember me. So I try to be a good person as much as I can. I hate it when people don't like me or are angry with me. I try to be nice. Also, I try to go out as much as my parents allow me, because hanging out with friends and parties is where the most fun is at.
