What they mean is that coffee shop holders don't want their customers dying on them, so they don't do funny shit with it. In the streets, you never know what happens.
Would I get points for being a Dane?

heh
seriously guys i remember they tried to pass some shit like this last year and the year before. there was a giant uproar for a week or two then everything died down, forgot about it and it didn't pass.
That's so fucking stupid, don't they realize this would just create a black market all over again? Did they forget why they legalized it?
Thread title should be "Amsterdam to keep tourists out of Amsterdam".
I have a good dutch friend who'll guide us and shit.
If all goes south we can blaze in the hotel room, problem solved.

theres like 1 test each year by jellinek or RIVM ( it hink t was RIVM), they buy weed at random shops across the country and test it.
this is insufficient because there are hundres of coffeeshops across the country with at least 5 types of hash and weed in its invetory

Shoppa holders don't exactly want to do bad shit with their customers do they now.
Shoppa holders don't exactly want to do bad shit with their customers do they now.
lol then u havent been to enough coffeeshops yet, ive had multiple occasions i was given inferior quality
[editline]1st June 2011[/editline]
it also depends on the shop owner, some are in the criminal underground and thus dont give a fuck because they probably own more coffeeshops around the country.
Fucking far right governments. No, the government's job is not moral control of the people. I fucking despise that social conservatism. Amsterdam police and city council have also basically said they're not willing to support this. At least one US state should be legal in 2012, but in this case its a £700 odd flight as opposed to a £10 train ride and £20 ferry.
The worst thing is that even a far right govt. should not have moral control over people.
Left and right political spectri (?) are more related to the public service/private property struggle than AUTHORITY.
There is a second axis of the political spectrum, representing "up" and "down", which accounts for only the "Degree of Government Control" without consideration for any other social or political variable, and thus places totalitarianism at one extreme and "Anarchy" (no government at all) at the other extreme.
So the dutch govt. is being more authoritarian than right-sided in this case.
I gotta agree, it's a douche move from them.

probably still better than weed in other places. In the UK i picked up a bag that was sprayed with fiber glass and i was coughing up blood and could literally feel it cutting my throat when i was toking it. My mate even cut his finger on a nug which is how we noticed
What's ams we goings to dos?

Obviously yeah, right wing technically is more an economic thing, and right-libertarians should stand for personal liberty, though when it comes to drug law those thoughts go out of the window generally. I'm also a bit of a liberal-lefty bastard anyway so....
Well that's shit
This is a good point. I don't really know anyone who goes to Amsterdam to do anything than go to these coffee shops. Hell, a few of my buddies went over there not too long ago for just that.
Banning tourists from the coffee shops will kill the tourism market.
They say they're doing it to help fight crime, but I seriously doubt there is crime due to these coffee shops. I think they're just sucking up to other countries who frown upon marijuana.
Exactly. The tourism market is going to plummet. And why would tourists come to one of the only places in the world with legal pot just to commit some sort of drug crime revolving around it?
its a shame that so many people go to holland for just the weed its honestly a beautiful place
It really is... My family stayed the night there after a delayed flight when I was really young, and from the bus tour we went on, and from what I remember, it was beautiful.

Firstly it's a new shitty European rule made in 2010, well, they said that foreign people outside Holland cannot buy pot here.
But, there is another rule, in the European constitution who said "No descrimination" and "All European citizen are equal"... So what the fuck? It's descrimination because you're not from Holland.

This rule seems like to best way to spawn a new black market.
also I suggest you word your sentences in English, not just translating the words from French to English
Tu devrais écrire tes phrases et les penser en anglais, au lieu d'écrire selon la syntaxe française des mots anglais. Sinon personne ici va te comprendre.

croissant!!!!
Also, walk to some random guy in the coffee shop, and ask him to get some for you.
People are pretty nice in coffeeshops :unsmith:
Stupid really, dutchman myself and whenever im in Amsterdam chilling the shop I meet so many people, its awesome speaking to someone from another country really.. just different D:
Gahh ill miss old amsterdam.
Wouldn't banning tourists from smoking weed in coffeeshops be like banning people from sunbathing in Spain or somewhere similarly sunny?
