Being a fairly new Whovian, I'm currently addicted to the 2005 reboot. I'm on Series 3 right now. Just finished the third episode. I miss Rose, but Martha is pretty awesome so far.
I've been out of here for a while, what news has there been?
10 to 11 was like a reboot (well, it WAS a reboot, and that's lame), with everything new. I started with not really liking 11th because of that
The last episode was specifically written to make you feel like that. That's pretty much the only reason for the horrendously out of character "boo hoo hoo I don't wanna go" garbage.
Arthur Darvill was in The Paradise this evening as a horrid weasly man. He was so good. He really is a top class actor
I really liked this scene though. Like I always liked Matts Doctor a lot and was easily my favourite but when I saw him use the old console like he's used it a 1000 times in the past without even hesitating then part of my brain went "He's The Doctor. The same fucking Doctor :D And despite how different it looks it is the same show" I like that bit of continuity. It's why I really want Jack back. [editline]21st October 2012[/editline] Like sometimes the writers make him too 'new'. Like how he experiences emotions and acts like he's never had them before. He's meant to be a new man but not a total baby who has had no experience of these things. He has memories of feeling like that.
I agree so much with this. It's sort of like a football team, you can't change the whole lot in one go or it's obviously a different team with mostly a different mentality, like a TV show. You keep SOME old parts of the core aspect of the show behind, so people can relate the newer stuff with the older stuff, but eventually, once that older stuff get's replaced, that newer stuff that came in long ago is now the new "older" stuff that the audience is now used to, have I confused you? :v:

Guess she has to keep an eye on The Doctor's female travelling companions.

Whatever it is, it's connected to The Question. As the Fall of the Eleventh happens at Trenzalore.
In The God Complex when The Doctor opened the door we could hear the Cloister Bell. So whatever he saw was in The TARDIS. To me it was always him in The TARDIS alone. Possibly sitting on the seat dead, as if he passed away naturally. That's why he says "Of Course, who else?". Being self referential. That's also why he puts the 'Do Not Disturb' sign up. Reminds me of that comic with one of the Silents slipping on a banana peel

Steven Moffat loves falling. Silence Will Fall Fall of the Eleventh Amy and Rory fall off a roof Sherlock too.
Angels only move when nothing is looking at them, silly.
What I always wondered was how did the Statue of Liberty just walk through the streets of Manhattan without widespread chaos going on? You'd imagine after it standing with a demon face in the same spot for about 5 minutes you'd hear some commotion going about in the ambient sound.

"The city that never sleeps" says The Doctor after being in several completely empty streets [editline]30th October 2012[/editline] At least that explains why nobody noticed. Everybody was probably indoors or something.
Also, if it's the city that never sleeps, isn't that the opposite of what the angels would like?
I was under the impression that they were all hiding
So I was watching the "Fires of Pompeii" episode from series 4, and look who I spotted: That is definitely her, right?
Looking back, the only reason this episode was actually good was BECAUSE it was a farewell episode - so you get all touched because you're seeing someone you like leave the show, and you mistake it for being a great ep Fact - it wasn't a good ep. The scariness of the angels was handled very well, as was the farewell which had some good ideas, but the episode and the plot was hampered by too many plotholes that were never explained. Way too many to make it stand up as an episode when you look back on it. Steven Moffat is too emotionally invested in his fandom of the show for him to end up writing it well, I think. Some clever ideas mixed in with some ideas that really could be at home in a fanfic.
When you never really liked Amy or Rory, you can really realize how awful it was. All the episodes have been sort of disappointing to be honest, I want to keep some hope for the Christmas Special , but considering the the last two Christmas specials, It will probably be again some unoriginal too childish plot, I'm still hoping it will get better with the new companion and all
fuck i hate doctor who cause i always stick to characters and when they go it makes me cry with hatred and sadness new doctors... damn man

Also, I wouldn't say they've all been disappointing. The Stephen Moffat ones definitely have but the other three were fine, power of three was GREAT as well, really refreshing because it was an RTD styled episode, really

I'm hoping that will not continue. Also A Christmas Carol was the most unoriginal thing I've seen in my life, you do not take a classic tale and make it time travely and stuff, old Christmas episodes were better, the panic and the tragedy ending well. With the last two ones, I never felt the feeling of Christmas being ruined by X thing and The Doctor has to save it, they are too childish, and fairy tale-like, if the doctor will continues being a 900 year old Mary Poopins, I'll be really sad

What did Torchwood do exactly? I couldn't get past the pilot.
Two seasons of core alien-hunting, technology gathering, occasional time travelling, Torchwood-y stuff with Chris Chibnall doing proper Chris Chibnall stuff... oh, and some sex.... ...followed by the Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace of Torchwood.
I was so annoyed that Miracle Day was terrible because Children of Earth was some of the best TV I've seen on BBC
