halfway through s4e1 now :D
Don't rush through it though, try and at least have some until the new episodes arrive. I watched the fuck out of it, then comes the "oh, what am I gonna do now?".

When does the new season start up? I can't wait ;_;
Some time in the Autumn
hey, who turned out the lights?
It's pretty much known it's going to be [sp]Mirranda Hart[/sp]. She hinted she has a role. Won't talk about it. Has dropped MASSIVE hints. Would be brilliant.
Oh please let this be true.
The University of Slough! Seriously, where is this?
It's Salford, Greater Manchester. Five minute walk from Old Trafford. You would not fucking believe it either from the location. Basically it's like sticking the 25th century in the middle and all around it is like the 1700's Here have some more nice pictures: (Building I study in is the criss-cross one) The bridge I sometimes walk across to get to it v:v:v [THUMB]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4b/Mediacity_at_night_2.jpg[/THUMB] And FINALLY, a tram that arrives right outside the University front door :v:
aaaahahahahah, german daleks
Funny thing; the tram to UEL stops right outside the uni too, quite handy and closer than the short walk from NESCOT to the Ewell East station. On the topic of Doctor Who, would Daleks ever end up serving the Reapers (in a reality where aspects of the Whoniverse and the Mass Effect 'verse combine to make an amalgamation of the two)? It seems likely, since the Daleks might end up indoctrinated or virally-infected like the geth Heretics. Also, if the Doctor were in the Mass Effect universe, he'd likely be a Sentinel crossed with an Infiltrator (sans the guns, of course), using Tech Armour, Overload, Tactical Cloak and Sabotage (causes weapons to overheat and convinces enemy synthetics to fight for the user). Dunno if he'd have biotics, though a Doctor with biotic powers would be pretty awesome.

Oh, and introductions... I'm James, I've been quite a hardcore Dr.Who fan for about 2 years now, I watched Dr.Who in the past but never really got into it much until Matt Smith came into it. That's when the series really seemed to take off for me, it seems more sci-fi and dramatic with Matt. Some random facts about my passion for Dr.Who: -Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor, whilst I appreciate Eccleston and Tennant as previous Doctors they seemed to macho (Eccleston) and Clown-like (Tennant). -My favorite Episode is Season 5, Episode 1 "The Eleventh Hour" which is the episode the Doctor finds Amy Pond. -I have seasons 1-4 of the current Dr.Who Collections on DVD, I own Seasons 5-6 in HD on my PC and will be buying them on Blu-Ray if I ever get around to buying a Blu-Ray Player. - My favorite Companion is Karen Gillan
JUst to explain to you real quick about those classic episodes. In the early days you didn't have 'Episodes' in the modern sense. Each 'Episode' of Doctor Who was called a 'Serial' and each 'Serial' is made up of several episodes. Those 'Collections' above are serials. For example that first collection is a serial called An Unearthly Child. It's serial made up of 4 episodes, each part has a unique name such as 'The Cave of Skulls'. Sometimes a Serial could have 4 episodes. Sometimes a serial could have 8. Sometimes it would just have 2. A series of Doctor Who was made up of about 6 or so Serials. However sometime in the 60's they stopped giving the episodes a unique name. So you end up with 'Tomb of the cybermen part 1' etc. I hope you understood it's kinda hard to explain. The reason they did that is because back then an episode of Doctor Who was 25 minutes long. So combining them in Serials was the only way to have a story of reasonable length. Lots of TV did it. Welcome to the thread :)
So to explain them easily... it's a movie split into several pieces?
Sort of like that. It's like a four-part (or more, or less) episode.
So hey guys.... the new companion will be announced tomorrow. You don't need sources, just take my word for it :) ....fine.
Exciting times. It looks as though the new companion joining Matt Smith in Doctor Who Series 7 will be officially announced tomorrow morning. BBC entertainment news’ Lizo Mzimba wrote: “Looks like there’ll be some big news announced at a press conference tomorrow morning!” Daily Mirror TV Editor, Mark Jefferies added: “BBC source has confirmed to me they will unveil new Doctor Who assistant tomorrow. She is “pretty” but “not household name”
http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/new-companion-revealed-tomorrow-31775.htm
I'm hyped.
So to explain them easily... it's a movie split into several pieces?
Basically, but it isn't paced like a movie.
I shouldn't really bring up about my Uni again, but I forgot about this which actually is Doctor Who related. Because obviously the BBC have studios up here where the campus I go to is, they had this for kids. An interactive Doctor Who adventure which I thought was a cool concept for the youth (especially the youth in salford) :v: Okay, I promise no more mentioning of this now.
Introduction time? I love Doctor Who, it's an amazing show. I really like Tom Baker, he is one of my favorite actors, right after Matt Smith. The show has drawn me in and I would defend it with all my heart. Also, I want to major in English, I love writing, I love reading books. It's all I do aside from school work, games and not caring about relationships, who needs girlfriends? Not saying i'm gay of course, but for one guy I am. But I won't tell you that, being a homosexual is against Christian values right? That leads me to another thing, I'm atheist. I don't blindly believe in some supreme power up in Heaven or whatever. I don't believe in Hell. I do believe in evolution, Charles Darwin's ideas and science. I also ask rhetorical questions when people pressure me into saying something obnoxious. About food, I love soft drinks. I cannot get enough of Mountain Dew, Doctor Pepper, Sprite and Coke. I drink stuff really fast too, even when I'm not thirsty. I'll have 12oz one minute and two minutes later it's gone. Unless I forget about it, I do that rarely though. I love steak and hamburgers, that stuff's great.

Tabloids reporting [sp]Jenna Louise Coleman as the new companion[/sp] She was my number one choice! This would make my day. I'm probably the only one, though. A fine actress.
We're practically the same person.
Oh wow.
Jenna-Louise Coleman has been officially confirmed as the new companion http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17456505?
I thought that they were announced in name of the character as well :smith:
She's very pretty.
I was thinking "who the hell is Jenna-Louise Coleman?" So I googled her and saw the BBC News video with her, and... Well,
She's very pretty.
that, basically
Remember her mostly in Waterloo Road :v: [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] but yeah, she is gorgeous

I like her already
