i really hope it's true [sp](apart from matt smith regenerating, which sounds like utter bullshit anyway [/sp]
And sadly that means all the others are equally valid
Advent Calender 1: Coleman: Becoming the Companion

Earlier today, Blogtor Who posted an article on the 50th anniversary - gathering details from their usually very trustworthy sources. It has since performed a sudden vanishing act. Peruse below with a whole tablespoon of salt. [sp] • It is called The Eleven Doctors. • All remaining "Doctors" have been contacted (some time ago) and have all agreed to take part. • Series 7 Part 2 (8 episodes airing in Spring 2013) will lead into the 50th Anniversary with appearances from past Doctors in some stories. [I should add, I've only heard this from one person and, personally, I'm not too sure of its veracity. Included for completion.][/sp]
Holy SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT! -mind blown-
Really looking forward to Jenna, she seems a really good actress. And is obviously fit as fuck.
Really looking forward to Jenna, she seems a really good actress. And is obviously fit as fuck.
Also it's good to have a companion from the past for a change. The last one of those was, who, Jamie?
Assuming she is from the past and isn't some kind of temporal anomly [sp]One theory flying round is a new Jenna appears in every episode. We had the one in Asylum. Will have the one in Christmas. Will have another one to kick of the next series. This theory comes from the fact that people who have watched the filming of S7PART2 have seen a modern-day Oswin who has no idea who The Doctor is.[/sp]
Filming has wrapped.
Pics out. Not too different, sadly... and they still look noisy :< More here.
Only just seen the new designs for them, i quite like them. What i don't like about them is the heads though, they look too thin and rounded. The older version looked more menacing. Other than that they look quite nice.
They need to actually be able to move faster than 1mph and not just pinch you to death.
Filming has wrapped.
For numerous reasons, I presume we're likely to find out one way or another if Jenna is actually going to be around for the 50th at some point soon. It's not going to be long before filming resumes. I don't envy the Who production team.
I think it'd be strange if they didn't have at least some sort of companion. Can't see them bringing back any of the old companions either, at least I hope not.

Then you got made into one of them. I don't know how they came up with the idea of making them into what is basically Daleks with legs. I don't mind the marching business, there is just no menace at all anymore. Their first two episodes were really good too. Actually what is with the marching business. That's how Sontarans should roll. They're the militaristic clones. I really want another good Sontaran invasion story. [editline]3rd December 2012[/editline] It's not really funny going "Lol look at the domesticated Sontaran who is now a doctor" when every other Sontaran we've seen has been an ally anyway. One story had them being little fuckers. [editline]3rd December 2012[/editline]
I think it'd be strange if they didn't have at least some sort of companion. It's a lot of shit to deal with writing a companion into all that 50th shit aswell as all the other stuff. It's one more character we don't need. That said we DO need Captain Jack. He's a fucking massive part of the show now.
They can pick up the companion on the other side. But I don't want Jenna to just be the half-series companion. Moffat doesn't need another piece of wasted talent under his belt... hello everyone in Leadworth who we never saw again.

It was like they were vaguely human-like still but obviously cold, emotionless cybernetic machines. The new ones look too alien to me. The others seemed to be more about designing something that would do the job without caring too much about it's appearance, they were quite utilitarian. These new ones just have lots of rounded edges and random grooves and lines that serve no purpose. They look nice (other than the heads) but to me they just don't look so much like emotionless robots that were once humans but were upgraded in horrifying ways. They used to be quite dark, but now look a little silly to me. Maybe it will be different in watch the episodes though.

Mind reminding me what is that all about?
Izzat the new logo? Also, Leadworth? Mind reminding me what is that all about?
The likes of Jeff, Annette Crosbie and Olivia Colman. The post office which is shut. The duck point without any ducks. I thought we had the workings of a great 'home base' for Amy. [sp]NOPE[/sp]

In other words, give Cybermen forcefields but make them shit with guns, and keep the Daleks as terrifying death tanks but take away their forcefields, or at least make it so their forcefields can run out or be disrupted. Also I still want a sonic hologram for the screwdriver so the Doctor can swordfight with an "energy rapier" or at least set up forcefields to protect his friends.
Don't think they were supposed to be in the show for more than one episode...
...that would be my point.
Izzat the new logo? Also, Leadworth? Mind reminding me what is that all about?
It's the Classic Series logo.

No point have fabulous planets without any mundane to compare it to. It's why I liked The Cubes episode
The Snowmen will air at 5:15 on Christmas Day http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/the-snowmen-time-confirmed-42600.htm
Why would they air it so early?
Maybe there's something else stuck in the spots at 6 and 7?
Because frankly the BBC feel safer putting it on at that time. Just for after dinner. [editline]4th December 2012[/editline] Also I imagine some fuckwit at the BBC doesn't know what it is and just assumes it's a kids show. I mean if you watched solely the last half series you couldn't blame them. [editline]4th December 2012[/editline] But it doesn't matter when it's on, it's still the highlight of the BBC schedule. [editline]4th December 2012[/editline] Seriously though the scheduling is so fucking stupid I'm surprised the idiot that organised it didn't decide to go for Jim'll Fix It.
Calm down, there's a lot of christmas specials on the BBC this year and Doctor Who obviously didn't take priority, that's just how it is Also the promo art for those BBC adventure games was pretty fucked up:
Quite a nice time when you think about when the first episode aired.
imo the adventure games were a waste of time and money that could've better been put to use on the production of the tv series, or maybe even given the vfx team a bigger budget.
Promo Pics, lots of them! http://blogtorwho.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/the-snowmen-promo-pics.html
