so lets see [sp]we've got an inversion of handgrab and kissing[/sp] this should be fine [editline]12th December 2012[/editline] lol youtube comments "Steven moffat will never be able to wright like russel T daves" (ignoring the obvious meta joke)
Looking good :v: The [sp]snowflake with teeth[/sp] was a pretty cool idea.
Didn't spot them in the promo poster?
Completely missed them. Those sneaky bastards.
I'm kinda sick of seeing daleks tbh. They kinda lose some of their intimidation when they constantly show up and are constantly killed, almost routinely now. Also, I was just thinking about this, in season 4 I think, when Tennant regenerates but siphons off the energy to his hand, does that use up one of his regeneration cycles? And when River Songs gave her regeneration energy to Matt Smith, did she give all her cycles to him, or was it just the residual energy from her own recent regeneration?

"Clara Who?" "Doctor Who?" Two very important questions with two very important answers.
Matt Smith is a lucky man. Karen Gillan and Jenna.
Matt Smith is a lucky man. Karen Gillan and Jenna.
With Billie Piper and a runway model... in the real world... and in Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
"Steven moffat will never be able to wright like russel T daves" (ignoring the obvious meta joke)
Well duh, it's with Davies that we saw such great episodes like The Empty Child, Blink, and Silence in the Library. Seriously, what the hell did Moffat ever do for this show?
Blink & Silence in the Library. Then most of his stuff went downhill because T.D wasn't there to tell him what's good or bad.
...and The Empty Child. Den of Geek Spoiler-Free Review Details:
Coleman puts in an excellent, not easy performance here, but credit too to Steven Moffat, who’s written an immediately intriguing character. Again, without spoiling anything, Clara’s the opposite of the Doctor in The Snowmen. She’s upbeat and energetic, without being bubbly. When we meet the Doctor himself though, he’s not in a good way.

The Doctor has been at a low ebb before, of course. However, Matt Smith puts in quietly impressive work here, that reflects the tone of the material, and the changes in his character. How does his relationship work with Clara? Let’s put it this way: it’s got us really intrigued to see what Steven Moffat has in mind. It's best we leave that question there.

It may be less on the jovial side than you may be expecting (to its benefit here, we’d argue), but Moffat’s flair for comedy and one liners is still very much present and correct. Without breaking the fourth wall, he’s clearly having a lot of fun playing with his audience too. There’s a moment involving Smith in the middle of it all that’ll bring down whatever house you happen to be watching the episode in.

Even before the credits have rolled, the story introduces moments of horror too. They’re new credits too, incidentally, which we’ll leave you to discover for yourself, short of to say they’ve got more nods to Who of old now.
In full: http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/doctor-who/23817/doctor-who-the-snowmen-spoiler-free-review
Well tbh I do like Davies more, but Moffat isn't so bad. [editline]13th December 2012[/editline] Moffat just can't into continuity

Rock intro? Do not want. I could see that guy as the Doctor though. He's got the smile.
no demat effects would not watch (all seriousness, i dunno what to think of it. i don't like indiegogo because of the "you always get their money" deal. and the fact that they said they'll keep reposting the fundraiser until it reaches 3500)
Sylvester McCoy as Radagast The Brown seems to be Love/Hate as Sylvester McCoy as The Doctor
Sylvester McCoy as Radagast The Brown seems to be Love/Hate as Sylvester McCoy as The Doctor
I'd rather he not have bird shit on his head.
There has been a lot of doubt as to whether 2013 will be anything special at all, given the speculated scheduling of episodes being rather minimal. But Tom Spilsbury's editorial in DWM provides some hope:
2013 promises to be the best year ever for Doctor Who fans - for reasons that I'm not even allowed to hint at - and I can't wait.
...and that's from somebody who, you know, knows stuff.
I've never doubted to be honest. The way Chris and David (specially David teasing and basically saying "WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE") act in interviews says to me it's already started. The scheduling to me just reinforces the idea. They probably would rather do a few special length big budget episodes than a series of a few average ones.

http://www.sfx.co.uk/2012/12/12/steven-moffat-teases-next-years-doctor-who/ Holy shit I'm excited now! “And then there’s the finale, which has got some serious fanboy-pleasing going on in it. My aim for it – which I’m about to humiliate myself at the tone meeting by saying – is to have slightly more than you think could possibly happen in one episode. Slightly more treats than you think you could be allowed…” Right this combined with the rumour that the second part of the series will [sp]feature a different Doctor cameo in each episode[/sp] is sending my head spinning. It's worth pointing out there are 8 episodes next year and 8 surviving Doctors. Half expecting the 8th episode to end on a cliffhanger with ALL The Doctors leading into the November special.
Matt & Jenna TV Guide Interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o-X8Otw0rsE 99.99% sure it's nothing, but a BBC America TV Guide listing for The Snowmen has some interesting additions: [sp]Cast: Matt Smith, Tom Baker, Colin Baker, Peter Davison, William Hartnell, Christopher Eccleston. An error? A generic Doctor Who listing? Flashbacks? Image use? (esp. Hartnell) More?[/sp] A nice "unpopular opinion" piece on The End of Time. Glad Logopolis was mentioned. New Title Sequence and Theme Music confirmed by the BBC this morning. Titles had already been revealed by The Snowmen reviews, but the theme music remained a point of speculation.
What's gone on this series to make them change everything at once like this? I mean, I know the show's entering its 50th year after the Christmas special, but surely it'd make more sense to save all that cool new stuff for the 50th anniversary special in November?
Um. Karen and Arthur left.
Um. Karen and Arthur left.
So two companions left. Great, so why exactly does this constitute what is essentially a reboot?
2013 - you hit the nail on the head already. The theme, the titles, the TARDIS, all supposedly with links to the past. Anniversary year, that's why.
Yeah I've heard everything looks similar to the past. Specially theme music. I'm expecting a remix mixing all the themes together. [editline]17th December 2012[/editline]
Matt & Jenna TV Guide Interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o-X8Otw0rsE 99.99% sure it's nothing, but a BBC America TV Guide listing for The Snowmen has some interesting additions: [sp]Cast: Matt Smith, Tom Baker, Colin Baker, Peter Davison, William Hartnell, Christopher Eccleston. On Wikipedia (no citation, totally unreliable) it said the Christmas Special will actually have an actor playing Troughton's Doctor.[/sp] I ignored it but now you've shown this I've become curious. [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] Starting to second guess that rumour I initially dismissed. The one that said [sp]a classic Doctor will appear in every episode[/sp]. It seems entirely possible now. That said in the case of Hartnell and Troughton appearing I'm imaging it'll be a CGI-makeup effect. Like how Arnie appeared in that last Terminator film without filming anything for it. Or how they made the holographic Mocambe and Wise for Children in Need. Simply get an actor and paste an Old Doctors face on top of the actors, excellent for a fleeting cameo.
