Starting to second guess that rumour I initially dismissed. The one that said [sp]a classic Doctor will appear in every episode[/sp]. It seems entirely possible now.
That said in the case of Hartnell and Troughton appearing I'm imaging it'll be a CGI-makeup effect. Like how Arnie appeared in that last Terminator film without filming anything for it. Or how they made the holographic Mocambe and Wise for Children in Need. Simply get an actor and paste an Old Doctors face on top of the actors, excellent for a fleeting cameo.[/QUOTE]

Since people were about to lynch me over not having seen this, decided to give the 2005 season a go.
Well I'm hooked. First episode was so-so, then it just got better (peaked at the gasmask one, damn that was some television gourmet shit). Also love how the Doctor sometimes makes very far fetched reasonings, but sometimes misses the obvious ([sp]the panoramic wheel in the first episode, or the fact that Rose's father had to be hit by the car to fix everything[/sp]).

Though anyone else finding that the ones in the past (well, past for us in 2005 at least) are the best ones? Not that the future ones are bad, mind you. Too small a sample to draw conclusions though, there were what, 2 episodes set in the past? Probably the one with the gasmasks warping my judgement.

No idea who it was. Wasn't Jenna, though. But yeah, the Tweed is still around.
Impossible Planet/Satan Pit was amazing. Season 1 there was the gasmasks, season 2 this.
Can I expect an amazing episode every season?
