really digging the new TARDIS interior
really digging the new TARDIS interior *image*
Its not like that has been posted twice in this page already and was non image tagged both times to avoid spoilers.
It's the new fucking costume man, I love it.
David Warner linked to playing William Hartnell in Gatiss' documentary. Nothing confirmed. Also, Moffat's thoughts on the 50th anniversary in a 2011 DWM..
So will you still be with the show in 2013? Or will you be dead by then? "I'm hoping I won't be dead," [Moffat] states confidently. Yes, it would be a downer. "Unless they sack me or I suddenly run away, elope with a Sontaran or something... yeah, I'm sure it'll be me. And there will definitely be something fantastic. But I don't know what. Genuinely, I don't." A multi-Doctor story? "Well, when I was a kid...actually, I wasn't a kid when The Five Doctors was on, but I was incredibly excited about it. What a cracker of an anniversary celebration that was! They pulled out all the stops. They stuffed everything into it. Maybe people are slightly cruel about it nowadays, but The Five Doctors was brilliant back in 1983. I couldn't believe that the BBC had been so nice to us. "And Tom Baker," he adds, "you should be ashamed of yourself." Tom declined to appear in the special anniversary episode. He was represented instead by some previously untransmitted footage from aborted 1979/80 serial Shada. Steven continues to address Tom: "Every day of your life, you should regret the decision you took that day..." Steven should perhaps invite Tom back for the 50th anniversary? "Yeah. Well. Maybe."
Blogtor Who continues to play it coy when it comes to addressing [sp]their article on "The Eleven Doctors" which was suddenly pulled.[/sp]
he was that police guy from titanic he's actually a really good actor
Yeah I've heard everything looks similar to the past. Specially theme music. I'm expecting a remix mixing all the themes together. [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] I've heard rumours flying all over the place that [sp]Patrick Troughton appears. On Wikipedia (no citation, totally unreliable) it said the Christmas Special will actually have an actor playing Troughton's Doctor.[/sp] I ignored it but now you've shown this I've become curious. [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] Starting to second guess that rumour I initially dismissed. The one that said [sp]a classic Doctor will appear in every episode[/sp]. It seems entirely possible now. That said in the case of Hartnell and Troughton appearing I'm imaging it'll be a CGI-makeup effect. Like how Arnie appeared in that last Terminator film without filming anything for it. Or how they made the holographic Mocambe and Wise for Children in Need. Simply get an actor and paste an Old Doctors face on top of the actors, excellent for a fleeting cameo.
Just to add to this.. [sp]Moffat banged on about a number of episodes he thought were complete... before adding, 'no, one more scene to shoot...'[/sp]
he was that police guy from titanic he's actually a really good actor
Like Tennant he once played Hamlet. He's also played a Klingon
Impossible Planet/Satan Pit was amazing. Season 1 there was the gasmasks, season 2 this. Can I expect an amazing episode every season?
Just wait until you get to blink
Impossible Planet/Satan Pit was amazing. Season 1 there was the gasmasks, season 2 this. Can I expect an amazing episode every season?
Each series has an absoloute outstanding episode apart from The Specials. Series 4 actually has a couple. Series 6 had a couple too. The problem is people start to expect an outstanding episode every time and obviously that can't happen.
i actually didn't really like blink that much
Like Tennant he once played Hamlet. He's also played a Klingon
And Matt Smith was Batman.
I just watched Turn Left for the first time since it was aired. Forgot how amazing that episode actually is!
Is that an asian William Hartnell? :v:
Think of him as the asian equivalent of Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
Actually if an infinite amount of universes exist than one where The Doctor exists as we see him on TV very likely exists also. By this logic everything you see on TV is happening somewhere. Far far away.
The new titles are rather brilliant. Quite a shock at first at just how different.

Actually if an infinite amount of universes exist than one where The Doctor exists as we see him on TV very likely exists also.
Actually if an infinite amount of universes exist than one where The Doctor exists as we see him on TV very likely exists also. By this logic everything you see on TV is happening somewhere. Far far away.
There's also infinite universes where villains have destroyed all the universes, therefore we are all dead
There are also infinite universes where this conversation isn't silly, but here we are stuck in this one. :v:
Matt and Jenna talk to DS: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/video/v2044779558001/the-doctor-and-his-new-assistant-chat-to-digital-spy.html Smith mentions there will be more for them to discover between The Doctor and his new companion 'next year.' Probably means in relation to the 2013 run of episodes, as it's 'the lingo' - but since they were talking from their POV... I'm hopeful that also means Jenna is sticking around.
I can dream can't I? I just hope he doesn't put his police box in my room while I'm doing some hanky spanky stuff.
*TARDIS noise* *the doctor slightly opens the door and pokes his head out* "Who wants to go on an adventu-!" Don't want to risk losing an adventure with the doctor!
Fan theory getting heated. Everybody is saying new titles is "Very different" yet old fans will instantly love it. People think Doctors face will appear in title sequence. [editline]20th December 2012[/editline]
Now if it was Captain Jack using his vortex manipulator... That'd be a different story :v:
*TARDIS noise* *the doctor slightly opens the door and pokes his head out* "Who wants to go on an adventu-!"
Actually if an infinite amount of universes exist than one where The Doctor exists as we see him on TV very likely exists also. It'd be like watching a TV that is filming the same TV, but with more eldritch horror.
Well, damn... and then some.
Cameron K McEwan: "Most of us were blown away by just how good Jenna-Louise Coleman was in 'Asylum of the Daleks' and just how quickly the actress stole our hearts. But here? Forget about it. She ramps up the love-o-meter tenfold with one of the best introductions for a companion in the history of Who. "Within seconds Clara will be your new favourite; she chases after The Doctor, she's smart and asks all the right questions. (And, yes, that question is one of them.)"

Alex Mullane: "Jenna Louise Coleman and the character that she plays are the best thing to happen to Doctor Who in a long time. "Entirely convincing in all aspects of her character, JLC lends warmth and humour to The Doctor's new assistant. Spirited rather than spiky, child-like rather than childish, she already feels like the most engaging partner the show has seen in a long time. "That her character is so shrouded in mystery definitely helps in that regard, and Moffat - who often comes under fire for his convoluted, twist-turny plots - must be praised for writing a character with such an intriguing back-story, who will not only drive you insane speculating, but who's also personable enough to keep us enthralled however long it takes the mystery to unravel. "JLC's first two appearances have been the best two episodes for a while, and that's not a coincidence. She's injected new life into both The Doctor and Doctor Who, and it’s a creative upswing that looks set to continue into the new year. It's time to get excited again!"

Malcolm Stewart: "Clara is utterly sensational. If I was a dad, which I'm not, I'd find her one seriously sexy tomboy wench - and I'd want to celebrate her birthday every year! The scene where she first encounters the TARDIS is unlike any such scene in the show's history. "There are added layers of magic and fairy tale, but why not? It's Christmas! And no one else on screen is twinkling quite as brightly, or as knowingly, as Jenna-Louise. Welcome aboard, you bloody lovely girl!"

David Lewis: "Like a celebrity on Strictly Come Dancing when Brucie is struggling to read the autocue, Jenna-Louise Coleman – whom we’d like to call JLC but unfortunately cannot, thanks to certain disgraced West Country comedians – has now been introduced to viewers twice: first as a Dalek with a penchant for soufflé and now as Clara, a girl from 1892 who switches at will between prim-and-improper governess and cockney barmaid – Mary Poppins one minute, St Mary-Le-Bow the next. "Yet while the Doctor’s latest sidekick has all the feistiness, sharp wit and instinctive heroism of Amy Pond, she’s no mere facsimile of her forerunner. In fact, given that Amy’s life revolved around the raggedy man in a blue box, Clara is exactly the opposite..."

Actually if an infinite amount of universes exist than one where The Doctor exists as we see him on TV very likely exists also. By this logic everything you see on TV is happening somewhere. Far far away.
Same for all movies, series, fantasies and whatnot. It also would mean that there must be at least one Doctor who can travel into our universe. While at the same time there is one that stops him from doing just that. You've probably got a better shot at building a TARDIS yourself though. Higher chance of that if you want time travelling adventures.
There's a universe where he's appearing in your room right now! Then there's this one. Sorry. [editline]20th December 2012[/editline]
Well, damn... and then some.
So excited
Matt & Jenna attempt to shop... for eachother: http://video.vulture.com/video/Doctor-Who-Cast-Goes-Christmas#c=3ZK969277F7VD7SX&t='Doctor Who' Cast Goes Christmas Shopping for Each Other Avocado gag ahoy.
