not racism, I just can't tell the difference between people who look the same.
Martha was aight. Donna annoyed the shit out of me right from her shrill, screeching introduction.
Don't you dare!
We moan when the companion is normal. We moan when they're different. We moan when they're the centre of the universe. We moan when they're boring. We moan when they're flawed. We moan when they're perfect.
Ah, Who fans. We only don't moan when they're Wilf. Unless they're not Wilf.
Not really, we all have different opinions anyway, some are more informed than others. This isn't Outpost Gallifrey you know

i hated donna in her first episode, but she was awesome for the rest of her run
what was the first episode this was said in, was it the one with the slitheens?
As far as New Who, it was Rose.
would love it if the doctor's first name turned out to be dave or something
It would be even better if it was dave yognaut
Donna was too old. The companion needs to be a wide eyed ingenue

Brian was a pretty cool companion; that scene in particular where he was wheeled out with a quizzical look was just gold.
I am incapable of separating him from Arthur Weasley.
Donna was too old. The companion needs to be a wide eyed ingenue
as much as i agree with you
wouldnt you like to see the universe with someone older than you for once
I am incapable of separating him from Arthur Weasley.
They're fairly similar characters in the first place. Both charming, yet bumbling.

they'd have to be pretty damn old!

Introducing the Doctor's new companion: the Face of Boe!
he's already been his companion ;)
He doesn't like jack anyway.
Wilf is the solution
I mean, look at this honorable man

Wilf is sort of innocent and full of wonder, so even though he's about 80 he might be good.
It might be a challenge for the writers finding ways Wilf could help the doctor in a fight though, since he's not physically strong or exceptionally quick witted
Defeat the daleks with a tea cosy
Of course Bernard Cribbins would then be the only person as far as I know to play two different Doctor Who companions (or is Wilf already a companion? I'm not sure how people define being a companion), as he was also in the movie Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150
That phrase annoys me, it's just stupid when you think about it.
I think the only time it's ever been used seriously was when Marvin in HHG2G was eight times older than the universe, due to all the time travel and abandonment that went on.
