that fucking face
Are we sure there's no relevance to it, other than it looking weird?
-snip- My bad, I got excited and didn't look too carefully
Our good friend Gabe Newell just presented his Oswin theory on the nerdist podcast: I stole this from reddit, and they didn't provide any links, but supposedly this is Kotaku's reporting of what Gabe said on a podcast. I have no idea if this late either...
Already on this very page dude.
Are we sure there's no relevance to it, other than it looking weird?
According to the DW Wiki page for that episode, it's a portrait of one of the aliens Craig mentions just after The Doctor headbutts him. v:v:v
But it's not a replacement. It's like a supply teacher. It will never be mentioned again. [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] This is the most interesting debate I've ever heard around Doctor Who. People actually would want to replace an actor? That's mad to me and every fan I spoke to before. It's the only problem with The Five Doctors which you overlook as at the time they only had 5 Doctors and only 1 was missing anyway. This is a whole different story.
I'm not saying I'd like them to be replaced. It needs to be the right people replacing them. The show can go on even if the actors who play the doctor gets old and dies, kinda like james bond.
that fucking face
How dare you be disrespectful to the Oligarch of Lammasteen [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] >:(
sorry if this is late
Glorious. SO GLORIOUS.
Whenever you elliminate the impossible whatever remains, however impropable, must be true. How paradoxical. EDIT: oh i didn't even read the text behind Sherlock, now i feel really stupid and unoriginal.
Please tell me other people like the new console It finally looks like they spent some time on it rather than it being (both in uni and out) a random collection of parts
What if the doctor's real name is "Just" And whenever someone asks him "doctor who?" and he replies "just the doctor" he's giving them his first name but no one's actually realised it but he just assumes people get what he means, or he knows they don't and he does it because it's funny to him Then on the fields of trenzalore or whatever he'll say "just the doctor" and it'll be sort of like in victory of the Daleks where they needed the doctor to confirm that he was the doctor and that they were the Daleks and everything, only instead of confirming that the Daleks are Daleks it'll be confirmation that the doctor is the doctor, and there's a situation that the doctor needs to be present for, or something designed to kill the doctor, but it's programmed to only kill the doctor and never be activated if he's not around, or something, so it needs to be absolutely sure it's the doctor triggering it or something

Impossible - I will meet John Lennon tonight Improbable -I will meet David Bowie tonight
Go on then, I haven't actually seen this discussion in the thread yet (although I have only been following it for a few months: Favourite Doctor? I think mine may actually be Eleven. His episodes haven't been as good as other doctors, but his personality and mannerisms are just brilliant. For example, in The Lodger the way he comes across as being extremely alien (and not all "boo hoo I love Rose waaah" like Ten) make him more endearing. Though in a close second is Three, mostly because he was a really funny character, without just fooling around like Two and Seven.
Eleven for me. I feel Eleven is best in the very human contemporary stories where his alien mannerisms shine. Like you mentioned The Lodger. That's when an really off-the-wall character can shine. Power of Three and Amy's Choice were great too. It's when he's surrounded by really human characters or if he's helpless he shines even more. Vincent And The Doctor for example, or The Girl Who Waited. When you put that sort of character on a ship filled with dinosaurs with really silly dialogue he becomes a kids show character. You got to have a balance. [editline]13th January 2013[/editline] Three, Four, Ten and Nine I really love too. The rest I just like
I love Nine.
Nine all the way for me
Nine || Eleven For very different reasons as they're very different Doctors.

It just seemed like 10 had a lot better stories, and the more interesting companions (such as Donna) If I had to go with an old series favourite, it would be 4 (But come on, who doesn't love 4? :v:)
Nine is my favorite, I have no idea why.
Matt smith confirmed forever [editline]14th January 2013[/editline] probably late

I was just reading how Freema she won't be in the 50th but WILL be doing press, conventions and anything she needs to in order to celebrate and advertise it. I was then reading up on Wilf and thinking how if 10 should have any companion (which I doubt) return it should be Wilf.
I personally think that this season is going for a nostalgic feel. I mean first of all, the intro of this part of the season includes the face Matt Smith, being a nod to Classic Who's intro. Second, the villain of the Snowmen. The Great Intelligence was a villain in Classic Who, and the episode occurs before the original episode with the Great Intelligence from it's perspective, but later from the Doctor's perspective. And lastly, the Tardis. It looks like a throwback to the older Tardis interiors. I'm really hoping to see some more Classic Who villains and elements. I'm crossing my fingers for the Ice Warriors.

Well the show is going to go down the "It looked like Body Armour because it was body armour, not a crap costume". So we'll see inside an Ice Warrior. The could possibly be in the trailer and we just don't recognise them.
yep.
It's bigger on the inside of the hard drive.
It's bigger on the inside of the hard drive.
It's nice to have an extra 2TB internal for stuff like this.
I want it.
That's really awesome
