Yeah let's just face it.
[sp]It will be announced in a few weeks/months that Matt is leaving, but no word on who will replace him. The 50th anniversary episode will feature all The Doctors and right at the end when we think they've failed to save the day, the 12th Doctor will come in and save the day. Blowing everybodies mind as he wasn't announced and causing massive hype just like they did with Jenna. But on a much bigger scale as it's a Doctor and not a companion.
Then on New Years we'll get a regeneration story and see the 12th Doctor go back and save his past selves in typical Moffat fashion.[/sp]
That's why everything involving 'all' The Doctor is being pushed back. Not only will it reveal major casting but also a major plot point.

[sp]Also as Daleks and none of the other iconic enemies seem to be involved in the Blackpool thing we can assume they're the only 'iconic' enemy to appear in the special. Would make all that Dalek collecting for 'Asylum of The Daleks' more worth while.
I'm gonna go on a whim an say The Daleks and The Master will be the big bad of the special. With appearances from Cybermen, Sontarans, Ice Warriors, Silurians, Slitheen, Angels, Silence, Ood and any other iconic villain along the way. [/sp]

I always thought that too. Sure I was angry, surprised and completely on edge when he started to regenerate but when it was revealed he didn't I felt cheated. I found it hard to enjoy 10 after that.

That's more than a can of worms. More recently, River gave him a number of her 'lives' in Lets Kill Hitler. But the 'regeneration limit' is never going to affect the continuation of the show.
