JLC was a guest on The Last Leg last night.. http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/colemans-last-leg-45657.htm
I made a little Doctor Who game in game maker which I don't currently have a screenshot of, but I uploaded the music I generated in FL Studio for it.
Hey i think i know the sound of that Midi, i tried making a semi-60's version of the theme using it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17563004/WhoThemeAgain1.wav I think i have a newer one made, i'll try to get it uploaded, for anyone who cares, i used Reason 5 to make it. EDIT: I tried editing a Vale Decem midi aswell, it turned out okay'ish sortof. Although since midi's don't really do vocals, i had to substitue it with violins. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17563004/ValeDecem.wav And here's "I am the doctor" turned out somewhat well. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17563004/I%20am%20the%20DOCTOR!.wav
Designer of the Daleks, Ray Cusick, passed away on Thursday. Very sad, especially this year.
So where can I find all of the original seasons in order? Netflix has the 10th-12th incarnation but I want all the ones before that. They DO seem to have 18 collections of the originals but messed up and there are only actually 18 episodes, each from one collection. Didn't know who he was but, really, he did a stellar job.
10-12th doctor? You don't count doctors like century's, the 11th doctor is doctor number eleven. Not like the 19th century is the 1800's.
Sense y'all here watch who also, can any one in-light me the reason the transition from Doctor #10 to #11 took so long? Because transition from #9 to #10 was as fast as a few seconds. Only thing I can think of is that the writer[sp]wanted him to stop by every one and say his goodbye's[/sp].

Let's stop counting Doctors using the method we have for 50 years which makes a lot of sense. Let's instead reverse it and extend it so it's harder and slower to say. Good plan. [editline]24th February 2013[/editline]
So where can I find all of the original seasons in order? Netflix has the 10th-12th incarnation
I don't think you will, sorry. I don't use Netflix but I thought it had Doctors 9, 10 and 11? Doctors 1-2-3 have episodes missing. The BBC deleted them back in the 70's so they had more blank tapes. So there's a few episodes you will never see ever. Most of The Second Doctor is lost forever sadly. Then there's quite a large amount that still haven't been released yet, 2Entertain is in the process of converting all the old series into DVD's but it's a very slow process. There's still a lot of episodes that haven't been done yet. So basically it's impossible to watch every episode in order. The other thing to remember is Doctor Who was a Serial show. So each episode was about 25 minutes long and broadcast weekly. Each Serial was about 5-10 episodes long. So the pacing is a bit different. The style, pacing and storytelling is so different to what you're used to you'll be better off looking for a DVD of an episode called "The Five Doctors" and starting with that. It's has the 5 most popular classic Doctors, all the popular classic enemies, Gallifrey, much quicker pace and will be generally more familiar to you :) It's a good starting point. From there just buy and watch the episodes you like the sound of. Personally I'm willing to wait a few more years to see what happens. I imagine in 5 years all the episodes we HAVE would have been converted and I anticipate a MASSIVE box set of all The Doctors. Like they did with Bond. But yeah, in the mean time I suggest The Five Doctors as an introductory episode and try to get your hands of the more popular and known episodes talked about on the net. Like Genesis of The Daleks, Caves of Androzani and City of Death. Also public perception. When 9 changed to 10 they didn't know how popular the show would be and had a smaller budget. Plus Chris had only been Doctor for a year and decided to leave right at the end of filming I think. David had 3 years and some specials under his belt. Plus the show was immensely popular while he was Doctor. They sort of had to give him a big goodbye.
An interview some may find interesting, with Mark Ravenhill: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21506855
You're a long-standing fan of Doctor Who. Have you dropped hints to Doctor Who boss Steven Moffat that you'd like to write for the show? I did once go and see [former Doctor Who boss] Russell T Davies and he said he thought I was far too adult for Doctor Who. But he was creating [Doctor Who spin-off] Torchwood and so he said to go away and come up with some ideas. I had very few clues what it was about, so it was like throwing darts at a dartboard in the dark. That was the closest I ever came. Although I love Doctor Who - maybe I'm not the right person to write it. How long have you been a fan? Forever. My first memory is having a playground conversation in 1973 about the Jon Pertwee story, Carnival of Monsters. I went to the first convention and Tom Baker was there with [writer and script editor] Robert Holmes. I asked Robert Holmes how he solved the dramatic problem of writing an episode where the Doctor doesn't have a companion. So even then I must have had some sort of interest in the writing process! So did Doctor Who lead to you becoming a writer in some way? Yes. Television in those days didn't really have any sense of revealing its own production process, it just existed in the moment. But there was a book called The Making of Doctor Who that came out in 1973 that showed me how scripts were laid out and explained what a read-through was.
While there are themes that should probably be kept out of Who, it's nice to touch on some grittier stuff dependant on the circumstances. For example, 'The Doctor's Daughter' was supposed to play out like more of a brutal war movie.

He's saying that there isn't a 12th Doctor, that Christopher Eccleston was the ninth Doctor not the tenth and that Matt Smith is the eleventh and not the twelfth. Not that we have to say "Doctor number eleven" instead of "the 11th Doctor," or that we number them like centuries, with the eleventh being the twelfth and the tenth being the eleventh or whatever. That part was just what he thought J!NX was doing when he said about Netflix having Doctors 10-12.

Its more than likely impossible but can anyone point me towards a no bullshit site for episodes?
Its more than likely impossible but can anyone point me towards a no bullshit site for episodes?
I've used Netflix and Tubeplus. Tubeplus has some ads though.
I've used Netflix and Tubeplus. Tubeplus has some ads though.
Yeah, I just bit the bullet and got Netflix. It's worth it, I'd say.
There are some really good serials from the classic series, but they're not all good. If I were you I'd watch all the regeneration serials (except maybe the one that's are missing) and some highlights from each doctor. I'd recommend: First Doctor - The Dalek Invasion of Earth, The Reign of Terror, The Chase, The Tenth Planet Second Doctor - The Mind Robbers, The Invasion, The War Games Third Doctor - Spearhead From Space, The Three Doctors, Frontier In Space, Planet of the Daleks, Planet of the Spiders Fourth Doctor - Robot, Genesis of the Daleks, The Pyramids of Mars, The Robots of Death, Logopolis Fifth Doctor - Castrovalva, The Visitation, The Five Doctors, The Caves of Androzani Sixth Doctor - The Twin Dilemma, Attack of the Cybermen, Revelation of the Daleks, The Two Doctors Seventh Doctor - Time and the Rani, Remembrance of the Daleks, Battlefield, Survival The first Second Doctor serial is completely missing, and the Sixth Doctor didn't have his "own" regeneration serial, as Colin Baker was fired. The Six->Seven regeneration happens at the start of Time and the Rani. And you may as well watch the 1996 TV movie (eigth doctor's only on-screen appearance), as it establishes a bit more continuity.
@BlogtorWho #cantbelievewhotheycastasthetwelthdoctor These guys be trolling, these days. :D
Sooo, how old is the Doctor.
Over 1000 years old
In the first episode of season 6 he says he's 1109 I think
He says he's around 1200 in A Town Called Mercy, but as far as i know there went a LONG time between Manhattan and Snowmen.

Probably worth a mention: Guy Lambert ‏@SohoGuy If the #DoctorWho 50th special(s) doesn't feature at least one past Doctor I think I'll genuinely cry Louise Jameson ‏@Lou_Jameson @SohoGuy None of us knows yet what's going on, just told to keep the days free.
