Oh, that one. It sounded like you meant a fight in the DVD documentary.

In news that shocks nobody
Apart from maybe the marketing team of Doctor Who, they insisted the creepy dolls from the last series were the "scariest ever". I say creepy dolls. They were stupid and caused me to black out from disappointment.
Hmmm, I still think "Blink" is overrated, (it's a great episode, but not as scary as people make out), and in my opinion the Silence (Is that even their actual species name) are so much cooler as an actual race.
I like The Master
I liek Darlicks.
I like the Vashta Nerada.
I liek Darlicks.
Horlicks taste better.
Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. Be sure to drink your Ovaltine. Good Luck.

i havent been here in over a decade what news is there
Mostly released photos from set.
Nothing too major.
I started watching the first season and I don't get it, does it get better in the later seasons cause the first episodes are pretty bad.

I agree, 9th Doctor was pretty bad. 10th Doctor is really good, 11th Doctor is great.
But everyone is going to tell you not to skip it.
9th doctor didnt get much of a budget but i really liked him. 11th doctor gets a bit ridiculous when he becomes the figurative center of the universe. still enjoyed it, but i liked how the 10th was much more subtle about it

It gets better at Episode 6 in my opinion.
Dalek.

Damn it, I thought of that joke the moment I saw it, I just didn't say it because I thought it was too poor.

Well Doctor Who cambe back in 2005. That's all you missed really. That backlash over the TV movie has thankfully dulled.

He never becomes the centre of the universe. Amy does.
I recently did an essay on this sort of thing for Uni. In my analysis I picked up on representations of God in David Tennants doctor. If he isn't being lifted from a burning pit by angels on his arms he's fighting the devil deep underground. He tries to change time a number of times and often is involved in prophecy. Let's not forget when he want to save the people in Pompei he was basked in a heavenly white glow. The Tenth Doctor also never directly faced the Weeping Angles. Yet we had that imagery of them surrounding The Tardis in a sort of state of worship.
Also the Face of Boe identified him as a god.
That said I also did a critical reading of the Eleventh Doctor and came to the conclusion Moffat isn't making TV but his own ideas of what SHOULD be Doctor Who based on his own childhood. Hence The Daleks going back to being a 'pure race' like the Nazi-Daleks of the 60's. RTD's Daleks were mad, hiding, religious lunatics which took hostages and were more in line with the Taliban. He also made The Doctor mysterious again. But nobody really represents anything anymore. RTD's Doctor Who was very much about terrorism with aliens often attacking landmarks. While Moffats plays more on surrealism and concepts of death.
Alien terrorism VS surreal death-concepts... The latter seems more appealing; terrorism just seems too contemporary and pedestrian to me, even though it's a real kinda threat.
Also, I hope Series 7 starts up sooner rather than later.

i always thought of 9 and 10 to be in differing stages of PTSD
he literally has triggers and flashbacks

although I can kind of see where you're coming from, UNIT and 2006-Torchwood are clearly influenced from post-9/11 counterterrorism tropes

We're going to die.
no guys rory is center of universe!
he's the best companion because he the last centurion!!
[sp]Kidding.[/sp]
You know what pissed me off? The episode where Amy waited for Rory. And it's like "I waited 20 years for you, fuck off you plod."
Rory waited for two THOUSAND years. Where the fuck did that dedication go?? Obviously Amy isn't as keen on Rory as she says.
Rory knew he would have to wait, Amy was told they would be right back.
I think the last story arc was the worst. Though I do like a lot of the episodes within the series.
It was so busy and the break added nothing. I honestly didn't care that much about River and Amy's Baby. The best episodes were the ones that dropped it completely. The finale was just strange. It's not that Doctor Who is complicated like people say, it's just trying to be far too clever.
I agree, it's cool that Moffat's trying to have some kind of plot, but if it'd just been that the Doctor was getting too big for the universe, rather than having the cracks, the silence, and River's story added into the mix, with most of it still left unresolved, then it would've been fine. Although the opening two-parter, A Good Man Goes To War and Let's Kill Hitler were okay. But they would've worked as standalone two-part episodes, and would've basically wrapped River's story up fine, there was no need to expand on it for the finale.
And if the Doctor had said something like "oh yeah, the cracks are fine now" at the end of the first series, and if the Silence had said that they were behind the cracks in the moon two-parter, then everything would be even more fine. But they didn't, and things are less fine than they could be.

i remember watching closing time and getting really into it, then just groaning whenever the doctor would hint at the main storyline
The next season could be fantastic though.

It's looking that way! Much more standalone.
