Looks like we're here for the long run.
Man, I take back what I said. John Simm is a great Master.
His plans are so wacky. I want him back.

God, on Netflix Canada finding old episodes is absolutely impossible. I have no idea how many episodes are on, and they're all out of order. Instead of listing them all together as one large show, they have each serial separate as a multi part movie.
[QUOTE=Stockers678;37406749]Paralympics[/QUOTE]
Oh, I thought you meant you meant you were doing something with the Parachute regiment or something :v:

That's how it was done back then, use Wikipedia.
Each serial was split into 2 - 8 episodes and each episode was 25 minutes long. You only got one episode a week. Don't make up for the length by watching several episodes back-to-back. It ruins the pacing.
[editline]26th August 2012[/editline]
Also bare in mind most the old episodes haven't been put on DVD yet, and even more of them never will as they were deleted by the BBC. It's impossible to start at the beginning and watch every episode in order.
[editline]26th August 2012[/editline]
And it always will be. That's a fact, we'll never see The Second Doctors adventures apart from a handful that weren't lost and recorded by fans.
September 1st can't come soon enough. Will it be on regular time, for Canadians? Space, 9pm EST?
Yeah, I saw some commercials on Space about it.
The Doctor returns in just over an hour's time for the start of "Pond Life."
[url]http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00xwctd[/url]
Pond Life is up.
It's 60 seconds long and already has a better budget than a lot of last series.
Worth it just for this.

Before anybody complains, future parts will be longer to make up the full running time. It's better than nothing, right?
I thought that bit was gold. Yet all the Facebook fans moan that it's too silly and the show is ruined and The Doctor rapping is like a sitcom.
They're honestly fucking so stupid it's borderline brain dead.

That's facebook for you
So what time GMT does the episode air in the UK on Saturday?
Pond Life was pretty amusing from where I was sitting; in a somewhat comfy armchair watching the Doctor surf, rap, and get some old-fashioned crumpet, before crashing into Ancient Greece.
Also Facebook does tend to be where a lot of common folk congregate, though the common folk aren't really the problem; the stupid folks are.
vulgar means both

Yeah, they need a new actor we haven't seen before. A goatee would be good, like the old master.
And have totally different plans and capabilities too. The Mondas Cybermen are weak to gold for example and don't shoot out of their wrists.
The Cybus Cybermen are basically robots, Mondas are just high tech suits.
[editline]25th August 2012[/editline]
Likely not.
As great as he'd be I don't want him as The Master. I prefer it when an actor from something I've not seen becomes the role, or somebody you don't expect like Simm. Unknown actors make Doctor Who work very well as you're not spending the time thinking "that's Sherlock from Sherlock lolololol".
Plus he's gone all Hollywood. He's in both Star Trek and The Hobbit as the main villian, in The Hobbit he plays two separate villains. He's got a string of Hollywood films lined up too, he's gone big time. He won't do Who now, we're lucky he still loves doing Sherlock.[/QUOTE]
Yeah a new a actor would be good. Someone with a goatee, like the old master.

this is the moffat era, not the RTD era which was similar to the older series, I thought it was obvious that the 11th under moffat has been more childish, hyperactive, and silly then doctor who has been before.
RTD era was not at all similar to the classic series what are you on. Moffats series is more similar to the classic series as it treats it more as a sci-fi with drama elements than drama with sci-fi elements.
Also people are quick to call The Moffat era silly, childish and hyperactive when Tennant was easily the most hyperactive Doctor, battled farting aliens, got drunk with clock-faced robots, a race of alien flies, that episode with the giant alien wasp, evil Santa robots, "The Master Race", Anne Robinson as an evil Dalek robot, Simon Pegg as a fish slave, a bloke in a relationship with a paving slab and pig men living under new york.
The only thing that's sillier is The Doctor, because it's his character to be silly. He's like a little boy with a time machine. Everybody around him clearly thinks he's weird as shit. That's the joke.
Doctor Who isn't any more silly, hyperactive or childish than it's ever been. That's a fact.
"What's the point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes"
- The Fourth Doctor
[video=youtube;6sUz5PbbIzk]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sUz5PbbIzk[/video]
Any Doctor can say those lines and get away with it. Because Doctor Who is always silly and childish.
[editline]27th August 2012[/editline]
For the record I think this stupid "they can't write Doctor Who" stuff will vanish next year after Tennant comes back and they realise Doctor Who has always been this silly and Tennants Doctor wasn't some sort of straight faced man who occasionally joked.
Saw this on facebook

call me a bell but knowing she regularly smokes has really put me off her :/ I don't mind people smoking, I just find it really unattractive.
Matt Smith has awesome outfits.
