Welp, looks like i'll be dragging my ass away from the machine on Saturdays again. It takes good TV to get me to the sofa, and Doctor Who is pretty much good TV.
Seeing the doctor [sp]saddened like that... I need napkins...[/sp]
10 things you should know about episode one.
[sp]1. There's a sparkly new title sequence - and very nice it is too!
2. "Amelia Pond is ********."
3. There's a strong feel of John Carpenter's The Thing about 'Asylum'.
4. "What can I do?"
5. Our Time Lord hero gets a new nickname. Actually, he gets several.
6. "You think ****** is beautiful?"
7. Someone makes an unusual request of the Doctor.
8. "Perhaps that is why we have never been able to **** ***."
9. References to classic Dalek episodes - going as far back as the '60s - abound.
10. "Look at the state of it."[/sp]
I don't like the 11th doctor intro theme, I mean it changed the way they were made since the 1963. Of course every season added a new twist, but the 11th doctor intro just changed it all, with just some parts of the other intro. The stuff they used is like off the rhyme to me. I am having hard time explaining, basically I am trying to say, the new instruments they used that replaces the Techno effect from the other seasons since 1963, really ruined it.
2005-2007 theme.
Same effect as the older series. Not literally same effect.
2008-2009 theme.
Added new effects, Electric Guitar, kept the techno effect.
2010-20?? theme
Re-done everything, They obviously tried to re-make the techno effect with the "oooo" sound. They also ruined the part before it due to the trumpets, making it sound different all together.
Even tho this isn't the theme or any doctor who theme, the people who made it, even still gave it the new intro type effect, but kept the old stuff,

I really like the new theme to be honest, didn't at first thought it was really weird and it shocked me.

Sounds more like an adventure with the first few notes where it's building up and then goes into the theme we know and love

Wesley Crusher from Star Trek goes bowling with the TARDIS team and friends.

That's what that video is to me

"What would Beverly Crusher say if she could see you now"
Oh my god how do I hang out with these guys!?
I loved that Wheaton had his Wesley Crushers shirt on from The Big Bang Theory.
And the Tardis bowling ball, that was fantastic.
To be honest, this whole video was great. Out of all the All Star Celebrity Bowling videos, this one is definitely the best.
Where can I watch all of the Pond Lifes?

Sorry, most of the people arn't old series fans, some even hate RTD's work.
I do not think the new theme is garbage but it's change doesn't trump everything before it.
But things could be far worse, imagine the 8th doctor pilot greenlit the tv series and that series
was going to stick to it's original plan in redoing all the first doctor episodes.
so uh what can I use instead of livestream

The Mirror, tomorrow, once again reporting that Matt Smith has quit the show.
No doubt from "a source" close to "BBC bosses." It will most likely fizzle away in to nothingness (Smith and Moffat have solidified their places for the foreseeable future many times recently) - but it always scares me to see such a headline.

Hahahahaha, what a bunch of bull.
The Daily Mirror is quality journalism
BBC Head of Communications has swiftly denied the report.
Matt smith was taken out of context, he really meant "I quit being a hypster"
or was it
"I quit being serious, two scoops for me!!!"
decided to rewatch the eleventh hour

Today's the day!

On the Netflix I have in the UK it only seems to have Series 1 to 4 including the specials except for Waters of Mars, don't know about anyone else though. I just check my TV and watch them through what I've recorded.
Does anyone know where there is a site just for all the doctor who episodes? Since the first, I don't want to buy them on DVD/VHS since they are expensive, and I know this might be classified illegal, but I don't know what to do.
There isn't one. Unless it's been released on DVD, nobody can watch it.
2Entertain own all the classic episodes are they've not put them all on DVD yet, so unless you recorded it when it first aired there is no way to see the episodes untill 2Entertain release them. They've released a fair amount. I believe every episode of the 6th and 7th Doctor is available or shall be soon enough (if you're in the UK). But the First-second-third Doctor still have quite a lot to be released. The first and second doctor had all their episodes wiped by the BBC back in the 70's so they're gone forever unless a fan recorded it when it aired and sends it to the BBC, thanks to this method we've had a fair amount of the first Doctor episodes returned. The Second Doctor is mostly lost forever. Though the other day they found a few episodes in somebodies attic so you never know.
The third Doctor episodes have all been found (I think) yet a lot of them aren't in colour but 2Entertain are lovely chaps and are colourising all the black and white 3rd Doctor stuff they own but it takes a lot of time.
Still a fair amount of 4th and 5th doctors to be released. You're best off just looking up and finding the more popular and known episodes. Pay for Genesis of the Daleks it's well worth it. The Five Doctors is a great starting point for anybody coming from new-series to Old-series and I recommend it as a first watch.
Changes to the title sequence have been represented in Pond Life. Text colours. Vortex colour. Credits ripple effect.
