I guess the behind the scenes stuff is only interesting to a minority.
Would it be naive to suggest The Doctor might prevent the capture of Clara Oswin/Oswin Oswald causing time to be rewritten and the daleks to remember him all over again?
Sounds like something moffat would write.

It seems the name Owsin means:
"From the Old English elements os "god" and wine "friend""
I used spoiler tags out of respect for you all as you seem to want it that way but once the eposide has aired, it really isn't a spoiler any more. In my opinion people who haven't watched yet should avoid the thread until they do. So I won't be banning for any untagged discussion of plot points in Asylum of the Daleks. Just saying.
Not really, sucking it every x hours for x weeks (forgot the numbers) can get a women to lactate as if pregnant.
This discussion is bizarre - as if she'd be making soufflés with human breast milk. And where would she get the eggs (please don't say her own ovulations...)
I wanted to say that the episode aired so spoilers shouldn't be used.
Are we going for the old "if it's aired, you can talk about it outside of tags, same goes for theories and predictions, don't complain about spoilers because you're the one who clicked on the thread in the first place, what were you expecting" rules that we usually have in this thread then?

I hasn't aired in the US yet on BBC America
Also where do you get the flour?
Maybe Oswin and Clara are the same character, and Clara's last name is Oswin, only in that episode she'd been on the ship for ages and had gotten used to answering to the name "Oswin" because crew members used each other's last names to speak to each other, and at that point she doesn't know the Doctor because of reasons, or something? I don't know. This is a pretty quick / ill thought-out theory I just thought up.

I don't even care about spoilers, especially when the stories are way bigger and still very fun than just a sentence.
I thought that as a supposed hint to the twist it was a bit unfair, since it's previously been the case in lots of sci-fi stories and productions that anything can be produced using a replicator - and for all we knew Oswin might have had access to advanced tech like that. Though it was a bit suspicious that she avoided answering the question about the milk.
I just watched the episode (10 minutes after it finished) and really enjoyed it, up there with the girl who waited. The only problem I had was that it did too many things without very much explanation, like Amy seeing all the other daleks as humans.
[sp]You see the Doctor peering into the casing, but not what he sees inside, so that could support it. But what about the sound of the Daleks trying to get in at the start of the episode, and also the soufflés?[/sp]
I think that's the Dalek part of her trying to get it.
I was kind of disappointed that the old-style Daleks didn't have much of a role in this. I was looking forward to see how Nicholas Briggs would have made them sound more like the old Daleks (and it would have been awesome if he'd done it into an 80s mic or something, making it sound like the poor sound quality was actually part of the Dalek voice back then). Still, it was really awesome, it was kind of like a return to retro Doctor Who: bonkers plots that are fun to watch and fun to guess.
I just had a thought. What if Clare companions as a Dalek?
is this the third version of a dalek meat puppet?
[sp]The doctor says to Amy when they arrive at the parliament "don't let them forget you" or words to that effect (it was "make them remember you") I think that will be relevant, considering they have forgotten him.[/sp]

That's brilliant.
I love Moffat.

Oh god, completely forgot that...It was "Make them remember you" I think
I think I can sum this episode up in three words.
Worth. The. Wait.
Oh god, completely forgot that...It was "Make them remember you" I think
Oh yeah it's that. I just checked on the iplayer, it's at 5:00
i'm guessing i'm the only person in this thread who really didn't enjoy the episode, i guess the next episode dosen't look worth watching either
it's a lonely world

Well that just mind-fucked me raw.
They really did hit you around the head with the twist though, with the conversation between Rory and the dalek about eggs, although for most of the episode the best guest I had was that she was in/was a computer, like in the film 'source'.

Mine was she was a robot due to tech mastery and immunity to the nanomachines.
[sp]So as we've established, doctor tells amy to "make them remember you". This could be the fudge induced sleep deprivation talking, or it could be something resembling relevance, but perhaps Amy almost turning into a dalek has something to do with it. By almost becoming one she would have been part of the hive-mind I assume, perhaps the doctor didn't give her his protecting wristband thing on purpose.[/sp]

I thought she was one of those human daleks. [sp]of course ot in the way that she turned out to be[/sp]
Those "human" daleks were really fucking unnerving. Especially the black guy who just goes completely monotone the moment he remembers he's dead.

Fuckin' zombie Daleks. If I hadn't already spooged over Oswin, I would've done it over them.
Those "human" daleks were really fucking unnerving. Especially the black guy who just goes completely monotone the moment he remembers he's dead.
Very reminiscent of "The Thing", right down to the location.
I thought she was a trap set for the doctor to hold the greatest beauty they ever knew for eternity under their own lock n key.''
oh yeah
[sp]they didn't explain how a ship survived, unless the part the nanobots were the second security measure.
Imagine, a dalek of the most brutal an insane measure to ever exist, escaped.
also the doctor might be part dalek now due to exposure to nano bots[/sp]
Those "human" daleks were really fucking unnerving. Especially the black guy who just goes completely monotone the moment he remembers he's dead.
I found that to be quite a dark thing for Doctor who, Especially the [sp] Dead crew. I didn't expect them to actually show those, i thought they'd just say they were dead. I can't remember them doing anything like that before. [/sp]
I thought when [sp]The Doctor made it into Oswin's chamber, I thought his scared expression was to to the fact that he found another TARDIS or something, the walls in her chamber look kinda remiscent of the really old TARDIS' from the early years of the show. But for a moment I thought she was some kind of reincarnation of Rani or something.[/sp]

That was exactly my thought too! I was like [sp]it's another Time Lord, please make it another Time Lord[/sp], but then they pulled off the twist. But I didn't like the whole [sp]erasing fifty years of arch-enemy between the Daleks and the Doctor.[/sp]
