That was exactly my thought too! I was like [sp]it's another Time Lord, please make it another Time Lord[/sp], but then they pulled off the twist. But I didn't like the whole [sp]erasing fifty years of arch-enemy between the Daleks and the Doctor.[/sp]
I really doubt it will be permanent, especially since they probably remember amy [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] What was the reason that the doctor didn't need to wear a wristband? I have a theory.
[sp]Oswin died right? However, the next companion is not a reverse "River Song" timeline, or any sort of duplication tricks but Clara (or was it Dana now?) was Souffle girl's twin.[/sp]

Wow. Mind = Blown. Is it another sort of River story where [sp]we know how she dies? It's possible her mind was wiped of her travels of The Doctor. She had a pretty massive sacrafice death for a minor character which involved wiping the history of The Doctors and The Daleks[/sp] Did anybody else pick up on "Doctor Who?" Which was warned at the end of last series. Question has been asked, so begins the fall of the Eleventh. [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] Moff wasn't joking when he said we find the new companion in the least likely place. Dalek Asylum was one thing but [sp]inside a dalek shell itself[/sp]. That's another.
Let the speculation games continue!
that was a great episode!
Let the speculation games continue!
That did quickly run through my head whilst watching, but I don't think that's the case at all.
Doctor didn't need to wear wristband, this is handwaved by Amy as "he's a timelord" but surely he's still made of living matter. So what if he's that plastic clone doctor thing that went AWOL last series?
Loved the bit she looked into the camera and said "remember me"
Brilliant Episode, was kinda surprised to hear no mention of River though, loving the new ( soon to be ) companion anyway, i'm wondering how she will be introduced later in the series.
is oswin an anagram?
is oswin an anagram?
yes
I've noticed DW has been getting much too cliché, confusing and just overloaded lately but I think this episode was a lot better. In my opinion, DW needs to return to the kind of storylines back when Chris Eccleston was the doctor, more realistic, more mature and more down to earth.

Saw Alex Day has made an article called "Giving up on Doctor Who" and is moaning about like a dick. People clicking the article has crashed the server so I can't read it but I had totally gone off Alex in the last year or so anyway, he's desperately trying to be famous and weird it's honestly sickening. I've started to skip his Chameleon Circuit songs on my iPod because he's such a fame whoring dick. I'm gone off Charlie too. Stopped watching their videos about six months ago. Alex I gave up the moment he tried to get his viewers to email Karen Gillan for him. They're honestly too fucking weird. [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline] They won't amount to anything. Alex was always up his arse enough to think the reason he wasn't played on radio was because "they don't get us" when in reality they do, it's just not got legs. Sorry to rant but honestly they're the worst part of the fandom because they're regarded so fucking highly. Though don't expect down to earth. next week is Dinosaurs in space and the week after is borg cowboy.
[sp]I openly wished for, and expected, a partners in crime type appearance from Jenna (a pick up shot after her casting). But a central character throughout the episode? It was almost too much to bear ; )[/sp]
Why are asking for realism in a show about a time travelling alien?
I don't know how to word it, but I don't think it's very fun when you just think "Yeah well he's just going to get out of this situation using some strange thing never mentioned in any other episode".

She's very pretty. Damn good actress too. I love Karen but Jenna is serious acting, like it's not face pulling, it's believable down to the way she moves and talks. Seems to play a lot of gay or bi characters. Does she swing both ways in reality or just typecast?

He rarely ever makes videos anymore, and when he does it's usually just about buying his new single.

Emmerdale and Waterloo Road. For the Soaps she's the go-to Lesbian.
I was kind of disappointed that the old-style Daleks didn't have much of a role in this. I was looking forward to see how Nicholas Briggs would have made them sound more like the old Daleks (and it would have been awesome if he'd done it into an 80s mic or something, making it sound like the poor sound quality was actually part of the Dalek voice back then). Still, it was really awesome, it was kind of like a return to retro Doctor Who: bonkers plots that are fun to watch and fun to guess.
He did the re-dub of them.
Not sure how I feel about next weeks episode. From the next time trailer it looks all over the place.
No sexuality shifts in Waterloo Road, I'm afraid. Just your run of the mill school-girl father-killer. It does now seem Asylum has set the bar TOO high for Dinosaurs!

I thought it would've been so much better if the actual Doctor died, and we carried on with the duplicate. Canton wouldn't have ended up completely lying, and it would've been more surprising than River. The flesh episodes just seemed to keep stating that duplicates become EXACTLY the same, and it was only really relevant to that episode. Anyway, whine over, back to the episode. I know it's kind of weird, but I always assumed he'd be able to hold back the conversion easier simply because he has so much love for pretty much everything. I rewatched "The God Complex", and after being told about the Minotaur that traps people with their nightmares, and then feeds off them, all he says is something like "You are beautiful".

Um.
1) What Doctor Who character do you think of when I describe this: “She is a beautiful, smart, teasing, flirty, confident woman who can do things the Doctor can’t”. Did you think of Amy Pond, Sally Sparrow, or River Song? Or did you think of the new character in this episode, who is exactly the same as all of these other characters? Objectively bad writing. She already has that idolising look, self-described genius to boot … I’m sick of this. You can just picture Moffat salivating. “A WOMAN! A brilliant sexy WOMAN! HOW EXCITING!” No. How boring. You know what turns me on? Characters with dimensions.
He can't be being serious. Yep, the inquisitive, sensitive, investigating loner Sally Sparrow (who was basically an Amy Pond prototype but let's not go into that), the independent, fiery redhead that has known the Doctor since she was a little girl, Amy Pond, her daughter, the gun-toting, merciless archeologist half time-lord bride of the Doctor, River Song, and the genius-level starship crew member, Oswin Oswald, who we barely had an episode to get to know... They're all the same, one-dimensional character. Yep. What? I guess what Alex was looking for was an ugly, dumb, serious, unconfident woman for the next series. Yeah, that'd be good TV. He honestly can't be being serious, otherwise he's just shit at having opinions.
doesn't Alex day like twilight? That would explain his tastes in character's with dimensions.
